Livingston Academy’s golf teams season officially came to an end in regional play on Monday, Sept. 27 in Hendersonville.

“We did well to get there as a team and I’m proud of them for that. This is the first time since I’ve started coaching since we’ve moved into the large school division that we had been able to advance as a team to regions, ” Coach Buddy Sells proudly shared.

This is only one accomplishment the team has experienced this season as this is also the first time two students have gotten offers to continue playing golf in college.

Hayden Ledbetter led the team with a score of 81. Bryson Fletcher followed closely at 82, Dawson Ledbetter 95, Teddy Tudhope 100, and Tayshawn Hayes 100. The boys’ total score was 358.

Cora Duke led the girls with a score of 87, followed by Halle Ledbetter 96. This brought the girls’ total score to 183.

“Hopefully the seniors can look back on their experience, over the last four years and continue to get better and be successful at the college level. We’re going to get some good players back next year, and I look forward to working with them again,” Coach Sells shared.

“I’d like to thank everybody for all that they’ve done. There’s a lot of people that reach out and help us that go above and beyond,” he concluded.
