Livingston Academy will offer several brief information sessions for parents and students during the Thursday, Feb. 6 Parent-Teacher Conference Night.

Teachers will be available in their rooms to meet with individual students and parents from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Progress reports will be provided in each classroom.

Counselors will be available to discuss course selection for next year and any other issues as well from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

In addition, LA will have brief information sessions in the mini-theatre. Each session will provide information on various topics; all presenters will be available before and after their session as well to discuss any individual concerns or answer questions. Parents and students are welcome to attend the sessions that are pertinent for them.

Sessions are as follows:

•4:30 p.m. – Vol State Dual Enrollment Information for current 10th and 11th grade students who are interested in taking Dual Enrollment next year. What you’ll learn: Qualifications for Vol State DE enrollment; grants and funding to pay for DE; courses offered and recommended to LA students; what to do to sign up for 2020-21 Vol State DE courses.

•5 p.m. – TCAT Dual Enrollment for current 10th and 11th grade students interested in taking TCAT DE next year. What you’ll learn: What TCAT programs are offered as DE; grants and funding to pay for TCAT DE; how to sign up.

•5:30 p.m. – ACT: New and Improved for any student, and parents, who plan to take the ACT. What you’ll learn: Changes to ACT coming in 2020-21 such as individual section retakes and super scoring; how to sign up and prepare for ACT; what LA offers to help students prepare for ACT as well as to motivate them; why the ACT is so important.
