Robert Scott McDonald
Funeral services for Mr. Robert Scott McDonald, 47, of Livingston, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2019, at First Baptist Church of Livingston with Rev. Eric Dillon officiating. Burial was in McDonald Family Cemetery in Alpine.
Mr. McDonald passed from this life Thursday morning, October 24, 2019, from Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Scott was associated with Highland Baptist Church.He was a mechanic by trade and enjoyed wood-working and machinery, with which he showed great talent. Scott had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his son, father, and other family members. Scott was a 1990 graduate of Livingston Academy.
Born May 14, 1972, in Cookeville, he was the son of Robert R. McDonald of Livingston and the late Brenda Ledbetter McDonald. In addition to his mother, Scott was preceded in death by three grandparents, Luther and Azell McDonald and Glenmore Ledbetter.
In addition to his father, Scott is survived by a son, Robert Lee McDonald of Livingston; two brothers, Greg McDonald and wife Jen and Jeremy McDonald and wife Aspen, all of Cookeville; a grandmother, Velma Walker Ledbetter of Livingston; two nieces, Addison and Lillian McDonald of Cookeville; two nephews, Myles and Mack Walker McDonald of Cookeville; and a very large extended family on both the McDonald and Ledbetter sides.
Serving as pallbearers were Derek McDonald, John McDonald, Jason Young, Ryan Ledbetter, Chris Ledbetter, and Michael Melton. Scott’s first cousins served as his honorary pallbearers.
In honor of Scott, memorial contributions may be made to Robert Lee McDonald at American Bank and Trust.
