Celebration of Life services for Mr. Frank Martin, 87, of Livingston, will be conducted at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, August 17, 2021, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. John Cahill officiating. The family will welcome friends on Tuesday afternoon from 4 until time of services at Speck Funeral Home.
Mr. Frank Martin passed from this life Thursday evening, August 12, 2021, from Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Frank was currently serving as a County Commissioner for the 1st district of Overton County. He also served as a past Mayor of Livingston. He also was currently serving as a probation officer.
Frank was Methodist in faith, a 1952 graduate of Livingston Academy, and served in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed traveling and was a community service man for many years, where he enjoyed moving the city and county forward.
A true family man who enjoyed his family very much, telling a good story, and cherished his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Born in Overton County, he was the son of the late Truman and Lola Vann Martin.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Glyna Crouch Martin; two sisters, Jeanetta Renshaw and Novine Stockton; a brother, Jerry Martin; and a son-in-law, John Collins.
Frank leaves behind his three daughters, Teresa Collins of Gordonsville, Missy Shook and husband Bruce and Mindy Pennington and husband Phillip all of Livingston; five grandchildren, Lauren Coffman, Katie Gaw, Diana Davis, Trey Davis, and Trey King; three great grandchildren, Rylee Coffman, Ryder Coffman, and Kami Gaw; a brother, James Martin and wife Marcia of Livingston; and a sister, Geraldine Burton and husband James of Georgia.
