Cormel K. Morrow
Funeral services for Mr. Cormel K. Morrow, 98, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, April 23, 2021, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Damon Corley officiating. Burial was in Miller Cemetery. Graveside Military Honors were provided by the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard.
Mr. Morrow passed from this life Tuesday evening, April 20, 2021, from Livingston Regional Hospital.
Cormel loved his family and enjoyed woodworking. He was a faithful member of Allons Baptist Church, where he was a deacon for 48 years. Mr. Morrow served in the VFW Honor Guard, where he helped with over 800 funerals.
Born October 27, 1922, in Overton County, he was the son of the late William and Maggie Sevier Morrow.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Morrow was preceded in death by his wife, Ov Abbott; a son, Kelmer Morrow; two grandchildren, Amie Roberts and Matt Mabrey; three brothers, Lonzo Morrow, Chalmus Morrow, and Elvis Morrow; and two sisters, Mary Coffee and Ottie Eldridge.
Mr. Morrow leaves behind six daughters, Elease Barton and husband Bernie of Rickman, Brenda Bilbrey and husband Joe of Hilham, Linda Chapman of Cookeville, and Janie Mabrey and husband Ray, Edie Mabe and husband Wayne, and Vickie Randles and husband Phillip, all of Livingston; a son, Terry Morrow and wife Ann of Livingston; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and a sister, Melvie Brown of Lakeland, FL.
Pallbearers were William Morrow, Adam Bilbrey, Derrick Roberts, Casey Reagan, Eddie Morrow, and Eric Morrow.
