The family of the late Billy Ashby would like to express their appreciation for all the visits, prayers, friendship, and support during his battle with cancer.
Billy Ashby’s funeral was held January 25, 2020, at the Mundy Funeral Home. Our family sincerely appreciates the kind people at Mundy’s for the caring service they provided.
Our hearts were moved by those officiating, including Brother Curtis Cravens, Brother Kent Nance, Guy Cravens, and Nathaniel Linder. Their kind words, shared memories, and praise to God were a blessing to each of us.
Nathaniels’s talented and kind daughters, Alyssa, Ally, and Allia performed two lovely songs, and we were comforted by their beautiful voices.
The Livingston Flower Basket prayed with us and created two gorgeous red, white, and blue arrangements for the military service. We were honored by the military service conducted by the American Legion Post 137 and are especially proud of our young family member, Cole Story, for his perfomance of “Taps”.
Thank you so much to those who served as pallbearers, and to Ruth Cravens, Tammy Johnson, Netty Carr, Joann Garrett, and Linda Anderson for helping with the reception at the West Fentress Fire Hall after the graveside service at Beaty-Wright Cemetery.
We are humbled and grateful for all who attended the visitation and funeral, for the sympathy cards, donations to the cemetery fund, food delivered to the reception and house, and the various other thoughtful gifts.
We all loved Billy dearly, and each of you will forever hold a special place in our hearts for the outpouring of love received at this difficult time.
