Alice Lula Belle (Boykin) Fields
Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Lula Belle (Boykin) Fields, 88, of the Dodson Chapel community, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2020, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Parker officiating. Burial followed in Fellowship Cemetery.
Mrs. Fields passed from this life Saturday afternoon, June 20, 2020, from the comfort of her residence.
She was a 1950 graduate of Cookeville High School and a member of Whitson Chapel Church of Christ. Lula enjoyed sewing and reading. She loved to work in her flowers, where the peonies were her favorite.
Born April 22, 1932, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Cleo and Lizzie Emma Stockton Boykin.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fields was preceded in death by a son, Terry Ross Fields; a son-in-law, Robert Lewis Paris; and two brothers, E.C. Boykin and Robert Boykin.
Mrs. Fields leaves behind her loving husband of 67 years, Bernard Lynn Fields of Dodson Chapel Community; two daughters, Vicki Paris of Jacksonville, FL, and Tracy Parker and husband Donald of White, GA; a daughter-in-law, Mitzi Fields of McDonough, GA; six grandchildren, Emily, Tonya, Alicia, Scott, Colby, and Dylan; 10 great grandchildren, Matthew, Nathan, Ashley, Devyn, Zoey, Cooper, Alyssa, Charlize, Wyatt and Keegan; and 5 great great grandchildren.
