The Homecoming 2020/Pioneer Days committee and Livingston-Overton County Chamber of Commerce have announced Homecoming 2020 as a year-long event celebrating Livingston and Overton County’s rich history and how far it has come as a community.
“We are all very proud of the accomplishments made in Livingston/Overton County and ask that each one of you invite your friends and family to come visit,” said Shannon Cantrell, Chamber of Commerce Director of Marketing and Tourism.
“We also invite any businesses, churches, organizations etc. to use ‘Homecoming 2020’ as a focus for any upcoming events that you are planning.”
As a centerpiece to “Homecoming 2020”, Pioneer Days will be making its comeback on Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20 on the Historic Downtown Square.
“This would be an excellent time to invite friends and relatives to help us celebrate the return of Pioneer Days after more than a 20-year absence,” Cantrell stated.
Details are being worked out and more information will become available on activities as well as booth and food vendor registration.
