Lighting ceremony kicks off Christmas in the Country

A tree lighting ceremony Friday night, Nov. 25 kicked off Christmas in the Country, an annual tradition on the Livingston Courthouse Square. Downtown merchants remained open late and local businesses set up booths on the square. Christmas in the Country is scheduled to return to the square this Friday, Dec. 2 and will feature a live Nativity at Central Park. A carousel will also be set up for rides. Then on Friday, Dec. 9, Christmas in the Country will feature carnival rides.
