LA band program performs concert

LA Band Director Greg Dingwall welcomes everyone at the beginning of the concert held Thursday, Jan. 7. The concert may be viewed on Facebook at the Spirit of the Wildcats page.

A concert originally scheduled for December 14, 2020, that was postponed when Livingston Academy went to remote learning before Christmas was held Thursday, Jan. 7, in the Livingston Academy gymnasium.

The LA Concert Choir started the concert with the National Anthem then started the Christmas program with “Twas the Night”, “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch”, “Believe” from the Polar Express, “Sleigh Ride”, and “Remembering Decembers”.

The Concert Band was next and started its portion with “The Legend of Greensleeves”, “Pat-A-Pan”, “First Noel”, “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24”, “Christmas Fantastique”, and the finale, “Greensleeves”.

“The band and choir did well for coming back to school and having three days to rework and then present,” LA Band DirectorGregory S. Dingwall, Ed.S., said. “There were approximately 125 present for the concert, staying in family units and practicing social distancing. We would like to say thank you to all who came and thank you to the administration at the high school for their support of the music program.
