Vice Mayor Ken Dodson presided over the Monday, March 6 City Council meeting in the absence of Mayor Curtis Hayes.

Livingston City Council gave final approval to two rezoning requests during the Monday, March 6 regular monthly meeting.
Vice Mayor Ken Dodson presided over the meeting in the absence of Mayor Curtis Hayes, who was out of town.
Alderman Rex Dale made the motion to approve second and final reading of Ordinance 2023-2-1, rezoning Wayne Rex property at 399 Celina Highway from R1 to C1 in order to establish a restaurant at that location.
Alderman John Clough seconded the motion. On the vote, all aldermen voted yes.
Alderman Bruce Elder made the motion to approve second and final reading of Ordinance 2023-2-2, rezoning Assured Development And Measurement Corporation, known as ADAM, property at the intersection of Hi Tech Drive at East 7th Street from R1, low density residential, to R2, high density residential. The property is located directly across from the Housing Authority.
ADAM plans to divide the property into two parcels of 7,500 square-feet each to construct a single-family residential dwelling on each lot.
Alderman Bill Linder seconded the motion. All aldermen voted for the rezoning.
Vice Mayor Dodson noted that a called meeting will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 16 to discuss traffic and parking on South Church Street.
The meeting adjourned.
