Bobby Turner, 75, of Livingston, died in a single-vehicle crash Thursday, March 26 on Standing Stone Highway.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol’s preliminary incident information, Turner was driving a 1989 Ford F150 around 1:10 p.m. Thursday when the truck crossed the center line, left the roadway to the left side, and struck a tree.

“We do have reason to believe there may have (been a) medical condition prior to the crash because no evidence of braking,” Trooper Jody Looper’s report stated.

Turner was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the incident report.

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision Saturday, March 28.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol’s preliminary incident information, Brandon Anderson, 26, of Rickman, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet S-10 east on Paran Road as Susan Lee, 49, of Cookeville, was driving a 2008 Nissan Sentra south on Highway 111 around 6:02 p.m.

As the Sentra approached Paran Road, Anderson attempted to cross Highway 111 into a crossover without yielding the right of way to Lee, according to the THP report.

The Sentra struck the S-10 in the driver’s side door, causing it to rotate. The Chevy came to final rest in the south bound slow lane of Highway 111. The Nissan came to final rest on the south bound shoulder of Highway 111 near the S-10.

Anderson, who was wearing a seatbelt, was injured.

Lee, who also was wearing a seatbelt, was injured, as was a passenger in the Nissan, Morgan Lee, 19, who was also injured.

The incident was investigated by Trooper Toby Beaty, and charges are pending against Anderson.
