Overton County Board of Education met Thursday, June 18 for the regular monthly meeting, which was pushed back in the month from its usual second Tuesday.
Chairman Howard Miller attended via Microsoft Teams, and the other School Board members all attended in person, while using social distancing.
General Purpose Budget Amendment #3 was approved along with 2019-2020 Title 1A Revision #2, Food Service Budget Amendment #2, and 2019-2020 Carl Perkins Basic Revision #4.
A new grant, the 2019-2020 IDEA Technology Partnership Grant, was approved.
Approval was given for the COVID-19 LEA waiver application in reference to TCA 49-5-409(b), TCA 49-5-503(4), and TCA 49-2-202(a).
Approval was given for the FY21 Consolidation Application for IDEA/ESEA school year.
Textbook adoption for the state department was approved.
Donna Reeder’s letter of resignation was accepted.
Minutes of the May 5 meeting were approved.
Director of Schools Mark Winningham issued the Director’s Report to the School Board, which had just one item – Robin Livingston was hired for the registrar position at Livingston Academy, May 25, 2020, as recommended by LA Principal Richard Melton.
