WCTE’s “Great TV Auction” continues this week

Volunteers Keith Bilbrey and Kelly Swallows were on hand for a previous WCTE Great TV Auction. This year’s event continues this week.

WCTE has announced its schedule for this week.

Tuesday, June 11

7 p.m. – “Henry Louis Gates, Jr.: Uncovering America”. Courtney B. Vance hosts this celebration of the renowned historian, author, and filmmaker.

Wednesday, June 12

7 p.m. – “Moments to Remember: My Music”. Legends of the late 1950s and early ‘60s pop era including Frankie Laine and the Four Aces perform.

9:30 p.m. – “Story Songs (My Music)”. Vintage performances of songs by Don McLean, Glen Campbell, and more artists are showcased.

Thursday, June 13

7 p.m. – “WCTE’s Great TV Auction”. Goods and services available for bid from Upper Cumberland businesses. WCTE Upper Cumberland PBS is donor-supported television. Everything from educational outreach and community events to award-winning local productions and signature PBS programs is possible because of viewers.

Friday, June 14

7 p.m. – “WCTE’s Great TV Auction”.

Saturday, June 15

4:30 p.m. – “Moments to Remember: My Music”.

7 p.m. – “WCTE’s Great TV Auction”.

11 p.m. – “PBS Previews: Chasing the Moon”. A preview of the upcoming series from “American Experience: Chasing the Moon” is showcased.

Sunday, June 16

3:30 p.m. – “Rick Steves’ Heart of Italy”. Rick Steves visits the Italian heartland and explores Umbria, Assisi, Siena, and the Cinque Terre.

5:30 p.m. – “Il Volo Notte Magica”. The superstar trio and Placido Domingo perform in Florence, Italy’s Santa Croce Square.

7 p.m. – “WCTE’s Great TV Auction”.
