“Unforgotten Season 3 On Masterpiece” will air at 10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3 on WCTE.

WCTE has announced its schedule for this week.

Tuesday, Dec. 29

7 p.m. – “American Masters” follows the journey of the award-winning author of the best-selling “Little House” series in this exploration of her life and legacy and her little-known, secret collaboration with her daughter on the books that shaped American ideas of the frontier.

8:30 p.m. – “Louisa May Alcott: American Masters” examines the literary double life of this celebrated author, who wrote scandalous works under a pseudonym. Elizabeth Marvel and Jane Alexander star.

10 p.m. – “Anne of Green Gables: Fire & Dew” follows Anne Shirley’s journey to Queen’s College in Charlottetown. She misses Matthew and Marilla, and is overwhelmed by loneliness, city life, and the intense competition.

Wednesday, Dec. 30

7 p.m. – “Nature” uncovers the variety of activity, both human and natural, that occurs on the slopes of active volcano, and the surprising number of animals that survive and thrive alongside these fiery natural phenomena.

8 p.m. – “NOVA” follows two intrepid pilots as they take on an aviation adventure, overcoming challenges as they construct and fly the first solar-powered airplane around the world.

10 p.m. – “Angle of Attack”. The second part of this 2-part documentary series begins with the potential demise of naval aviation, as many in the military establishment promote nuclear weapons and pronounce carrier aviation obsolete.

Thursday, Dec. 31

7 p.m. – “United In Song: Celebrating The Resilience of America”.

8:30 p.m. – “Live from Lincoln Center”. New York Philharmonic New Year’s Eve with Renee Fleming.
