Tuesday, Nov. 19

7 p.m. – “Finding Your Roots”. The family histories of comedians Seth Meyers, Tig Notaro, and Sarah Silverman are explored.

8 p.m. – “Jubilee Singers: Sacrifice and Glory: American Experience”. How a group of former slaves saved their school by singing in the decade after the Civil War.

9 p.m. – “Frontline: For Sama”. The story of a young Syrian mother’s perseverance through the siege of Aleppo.

10:30 p.m. – “Kids in Crisis: You’re Not Alone”. Young people talk about their mental health journeys to encourage others who struggle to get help.

Wednesday, Nov. 20

7 p.m. – “Nature: Bears” follows bears across the globe as they draw on their brains, brawn, and unique adaptations to survive.

8 p.m. – “Nova: The Violence Paradox” journeys through history and the human mind to explore why violence has diminished.

10 p.m. – “Big Pacific”. This “making of” special explores the highlights and challenges of wildlife filmmaking.
