Good Neighbors Theatre will present “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing” on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 9, 10 and 11 as this year’s teen directed production.
The play is prepared, managed, and directed entirely by local area teens, and features actors from kindergarten through the eighth grade.
Written by Judy Blume and adapted for the stage by Bruce Mason, this play tells the story of 9 year-old Peter Hatcher and his 2 1/2 year-old brother, Fudge. Fudge continuously causes problems mimicking Peter’s behavior, disturbing Peter’s turtle, and throwing tantrums. Nevertheless, their parents dote on Fudge, much to Peter’s dismay.
Good Neighbors Theatre, located at 8780 Highway 111 in Byrdstown, will hold a 7 p.m. performance on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 9 and 10, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11. Tickets are available through Pickett County Chamber of Commerce by calling 931 864-7195, or at the theatre before each performance.
This project is funded under a grant contract with the state of Tennessee and by the Robert K. and Anne H. Zelle fund for fine and performing arts and The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
