The painting had been hanging on a wall in a villa in the province of Rome, Italy, for many years, and when it suddenly fell to the floor it was damaged. So, the owners sent it off to be repaired and cleaned.

And that’s when they found out that it was no ordinary work of art; it was the long-lost masterpiece, The Adoration of the Magi, painted by Rembrandt in 1632 or 1633, according to Association of Mature American Citizens [AMAC].

The owners apparently have no immediate intention of selling their newfound treasure, but they do plan to offer it to galleries and museums.
