Master Beef Producer and Tennessee Master Farm Manager Programs

The Covid 19 epidemic sure has changed the way Extension conducts meetings. Overton Extension has had to break away from the traditional group, face-to-face meetings since this epidemic and rely on other means to deliver educational information to interesred parties.

Overton Extension is conducting an on-line Master Beef Producer class that begins Tuesday, Jan. 26. I regret not being able to conduct the traditional group meeting, but for safety concerns it’s best we focus on the on-line approach. I have mailed letters to TAEP participants who need a new Master Beef certificate before the April 1st TAEP deadline. If you need a certificate and don’t have internet access other arrangements can be made. Anyone else who would like to take this class to renew their certificate or just to learn please contact me at (931) 823-2735.

The Tennessee Master Farm Manager on-line class focuses on solid business principals and efficient resources on the farm. These zoom based webinar sessions will be held on Thursday nights for eight weeks starting January 21 at 6:00 p.m. Registered participants will be emailed a zoom link and instructions the day before each session. If you have had a previous Master Beef certificate, this class can be used for TAEP cost share. For further information contact Jason at (931) 823-2735.

UT Extension offers equal opportunities in programs and employment.
