LA runners compete in sectional
Reece Berg and Alex Wright competed in the Middle Tennessee Sub-Sectional Track Meet at Martin Luther High School on Tuesday, May 11 and Thursday, May 13.

Berg qualified for the Sectional Meet in the 800 meter, and Wright qualified in the 1,600 meter.

The Sectional Meet was held at David Lipscomb High School on Thursday, May 20 with only the top two advancing to the State Meet.

LA Coach Cody Newman said, “Neither Reece nor Alex qualified for the state meet. Yet, both of them represented LA very well.

“They were amongst the best 48 runners in the state, both students had an outstanding season; next year will be even better.”
