to unite in matrimony April 3

Mr. Matthew Thomas Crawford

Mike Duke and Judy Parks of Mt. Juliet and Billy and Susan Shanks of Cookeville proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Emily Rhea Duke to Matthew Thomas Crawford, son of Thomas and Gail Crawford of Baxter.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Elfriede Duke of Cookeville and the late Carl Duke, Kathleen Sparkman of Baxter and the late Donald Sparkman and Bill and Faye Shanks of Baxter.

She is a 2001 graduate of Upperman High School and a 2006 graduate of Tennessee Technological University, from which she earned a B.S. degree in early childhood education. She is employed with the Putnam County Board of Education as a kindergarten teacher at Jere Whitson Elementary School as well as the Cookeville Deparment of Leisure Services.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of the late Lucian and Edith Crawford and the late Clarence and Cora Waddell.

He is a 2000 graduate of Upperman High School and a graduate of Tennessee Technological University from which he earned a B. S. degree in management information systems in 2003 and an MBA in 2005. He is employed by Tennessee Technological University as a computer programmer/analyst.

The wedding will take place at the Del Monaco Winery in Baxter on Saturday, April 3.

Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Spivey of Gainseboro and Mr. Robert Frasier of Cookeville proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Paige Allison Frasier to Bobby Wayne Buck, son of Donny and Mary Buck of Gainesboro.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry V. Sherrell and Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Frasier of Cookeville. She is the step-granddaughter of Gene and Ruth Carmack of Gainesboro, and the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Bertie Meadows of Cookeville. She is also the granddaughter of the late Clara Allen and the great granddaughter of the late Frank and Milta Vaughn and Lilbern and Martha Sherrell.

She is a graduate of Jackson County high school and Volunteer State Community College. She is employed at Livingston Regional Hospital as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Buck and the great grandson of Mrs. Olene Phillips of Gainesboro and the late Dalton Phillips.

He is also the grandson of the late Buren and Ethel Phillips, and the great grandson of the late Perry and Virgie Buck.

He is a graduate of Jackson County high school and a graduate of Tennessee Technological University. He is employed by Bruckner Supply Company as a Site Manager for the Eaton Company of Gainesboro.

The wedding will take place at Collegeside Church of Christ in Cookeville beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27.
