Judy (England) Anderson
Funeral services for Mrs. Judy (England) Anderson, 57, of Monterey, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010 from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenny Smith officiating.

Burial was in Phillips Cemetery in the Anderson Community.

Mrs. Anderson died Monday, December 20, at her home. She was a member of Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church, a former employee of Russell Stover Candies, and a former accountant for Cumberland County Co-Op.

Born March 31, 1953 in Wayne County, MI, she was the daughter of
James and Beatrice (Buckner) England of Monterey.

In addition to her parents, survivors include her husband, Rev. Willie Anderson of Monterey; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Tina Anderson of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Michael and Amanda Anderson of Monterey; 3 grandchildren, Dylan, Kristen Anderson, and Kaleb; a father-and mother-in-law, Willis and Reba Anderson of Monterey; and 8 brothers- and sisters-in-law.

Cozetta Rose (Carter) Bilyeu
Funeral services for Mrs. Cozetta Rose (Carter) Bilyeu, 71, of Hilham, were conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, December 24, 2010 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home, with Bro. Roger Phillips officiating.

Burial was in Camp Ground Cemetery.

Mrs. Bilyeu died Tuesday, December 21, at her home. She was a factory worker at Hutchison and a member of New Life Community Church.

Born February 13, 1939 in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late R.B. and Auda Mae (Garrett) Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy F. Bilyeu; a brother, Arlis Carter; and a sister, Agnes Phillips.

Survivors include 2 brothers, James Carter of Hilham and Dewane Carter of Anderson, IN; 2 sisters, Trudy McDonald of Allons and Joan Bilbrey of LaFountain, IN; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Larry McDonald, Gary McDonald, Jeff McDonald, Gary Carter, Bob Carter, Levi Phillips, and Randy Bilyeu.

Honorary pallbearer was Jake Board.

Gladys (Hicks) Copeland
Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys (Hicks) Copeland, 91, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2010 from First Christian Church in Livingston, with Dr. Lyle Anderson and Rev. Dee Moore officiating.

Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Copeland died Monday, December 20, at Life Care Center in Sparta. She had been an inspector at Kelloggs and was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Livingston.

Born August 26, 1919 in Pickett County, she was the daughter of the late Butler and Susan (Garrett) Hicks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Thurston Como Franklin and Clyde Preston Copeland; 2 brothers, Alford Hicks and Earl Hicks; 3 sisters, Ethel Winningham, Tennie Tucker, and Elsie Hill; and a granddaughter, Carrie White.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Rita Cantrell of Ringgold, GA, Sue Copeland of Cookeville, Linda White and Pat Copeland, both of Livingston; 2 step-daughters, Helen Lynde of Clemons, NC and Carol Huber of Sanford, NC; a special sister-in-law, Dorothy Huddleston of Livingston; a special niece, Maxine Carr; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Scott Copeland, Steven Ryan Copeland, Cris Copeland, Mark Cantrell, Terrence Melton, Kendall Melton, and Kailen Melton.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church in Livingston.

Beatrice B. (Berry) Grissom
Funeral services for Mrs.Beatrice B. (Berry) Grissom, 85, of Rickman, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, December 24, 2010 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home, with Rev. Dewey Glen Masters officiating.

Burial was in Allens Chapel Cemetry.

Mrs. Grissom died Tuesday, December 21, at her home. She was a factory worker at General Motors.

Born April 4, 1925 in Anderson, IN, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Zuia Mai (Phillips) Berry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Marshall; and an infant son, David Grissom.
Survivors include a grandson, Jeffrey Marshall of Florida; and a granddaughter, Denise Rosette of Florida.

Pallbearers were Matthew Tuttle, Woodrow Tuttle, Justin Kelly, Justin Hare, Joshua Whittenberger, and Justin Smith.

Honorary pallbearers were Camden Nevins and Colton Nevins.

Grady Clifton Phillips
Funeral services for Mr. Grady Clifton Phillips, 68, of Livingston, were conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010 from chapel of Hall Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Roberts officiating.

Burial was in Allens Chapel Cemetery in Hilham.

Mr. Phillips died Monday, December 13, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born December 6, 1942 in Overton County, he was the son of the late Bennie and Mindy (Gore) Phillips. In addtion to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers, J.B. Phillips, Haskell Phillips, Lonnie Phillips, Willie D. Phillips, Ernest Phillips, and Oscar Phillips.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Phillips of Livingston; 2 sons, Grady Phillips, II of Livingston, and Darryl Phillips of Gainesboro; 2 daughters, Angie Dixon of Rickman and Donna Turner of Mariceville, TX; 2 sisters, Ruby Savage of Livingston and Lela Berry of Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Doris J. (Phelps) Reynolds
Funeral services for Mrs. Doris J. (Phelps) Reynolds, 73, of Rickman, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2010 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Owens officiating.

Burial was in Cannon Cemetery in Rickman.

Mrs. Reynolds died Wednesday, December 15, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Born July 12, 1937 in Pittsfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Gertrude (Arnold) Phelps.

Survivors include her husband, Grady Speck of Rickman; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Ann Scutt of New York and John and Ellen Scutt of Vermont; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Joe Shores and Jean and Chris Shores, all of Vermont, and Debra and Fransisco Shockley of Cookeville; 2 sisters, Nancy McDonough of Mississippi and Betty Kickery of Massachusetts; a brother, Fred Phelps of Florida; 21 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Mark Carmack, Jerry Carmack, Jim Carmack, Mike Carmack, Tim Pendergrass, and Keith Burgess.

Rosie (Brown) Smith
Funeral services for Mrs. Rosie (Brown) Smith, 99, of Hilham, were conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from Hilham Church of Christ, with Bro. Jim Blankenship and Bro. John Mayberry officiating.

Burial was in Old Union Cemetery in Hilham.

Mrs. Smith died Sunday, December 19, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was of the Church of Christ faith.

Born December 25, 1910 in Hilham, she was the daughter of the late Billy and Florence (Rich) Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Smith; an infant son, Elmo Smith; a grandchild, Carolyn Smolen; and a great-grandchild, Sherry Smolen.

Survivors include 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Billy and Lynette Smith of Livingston, Carl and Linda Smith and Paul Smith, all of Hilham; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and James Parrott of Livingston and Peggy and Lee Bartlett of Somerset, KY; 12 grandchildren, Shirley Flurey, Cindy Morrow, Kathy Howell, David Smith, Billy Parrott, Joe Parrott, Jamie Kay Rogers, Johnny Thomas, Benny Thomas, Kenny Thomas, Vicki Swartz, and Gary Smith; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kenny Thomas, Chris Howell, Benny Thomas, Gary Smith, Stuart Swartz, and Billy Parrott.
