Betty June (Ledbetter) Bilbrey
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Betty June (Ledbetter) Bilbrey, 79, of Indianapolis, were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, November 29, 2010 from Polk-Bilbrey Cemetery, with Bro. Bobby Hawkins officiating.

Mrs. Bilbrey died Tuesday, November 23, at her home. She was a retired Shirt Factory employee and a member of the Airport congregation of Jehovah’s Witness in Indianpolis, IN.

Born June 13, 1931 in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Ridley and Belle (Carmack) Ledbetter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Rachel Bilbrey; 2 brothers, Joe Kenneth Ledbetter and James Donald Ledbetter; and a sister, Janey Sue Burchett.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde L. Bilbrey of Indianapolis; a daughter, Rebecca Bilbrey of Indianapolis; 2 sisters, Mazelle Coffee and Judy Buckner, both of Livingston; and 2 brothers, Wallace Ledbetter, Jr. and Darrell B . Ledbetter, both of Livingston.

Pallbearers were Andrew Ledbetter, David Ledbetter, Steve Coffee, Ronald Bilbrey, James Bilbrey, and Kenneth Bilbrey.

Mary M. (Lee) Braboy
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary M. (Lee) Braboy, 90, of Westland, MI, formerly of Jackson County, were conducted Friday, November 26, 2010 from the UH7 Funeral Home in Westland, MI.

Mrs. Braboy died Thursday, November 25, in Westland.

Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Clay and Allie (Carr) Lee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Braboy; and 4 nephews, Estle Lee, Thomas Lee, Bobby Lee, and Denny Clay Lee.

Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Claude and Lois Lee of Hilham; a sister, Melba Winningham of Cincinnati, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

Terry Michael Gaw
Funeral services for Mr. Terry Michael Gaw, 58, of Hilham, were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home, with Bro. Phillip Morgan officiating.

Burial was in Gaw Family Cemetery.

Mr. Gaw died Saturday, November 20, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born July 5, 1952 in Cookeville, he was the son of Ann Gaw and the late Jerry Gaw.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife of 38 years, Carol Gaw; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Tabitha Gaw, Mark and Mandy Gaw, and Kyle and Katie Gaw; a sister, Cheryl Smith; 5 grandchildren, Austin Gaw, Matthew Gaw, Emma Gaw, Maddie Gaw, and Masey Gaw; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Pallbearers were Johnny Barnes, Ralph Barnes, Jerry Colson, Clifford Choate, Steve Clark, and Jason Bilbrey.

Elva Mae (Carpenter) Hale
Funeral services for Mrs. Elva Mae (Carpenter) Hale, 71, of Dry Hollow Community of Overton County, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home, with Rev. Raymond Phillips officiating.

Burial will be in Davis Cemetery in Dry Hollow Community of Overton County.

Mrs. Hale died Sunday, November 28, at her home in Dry Hollow Community. She was a retired factory worker from Horner Waldorf in Middletown, OH and a member of Columbia Hill Baptist Church.

Born February 27, 1939 in Claiborne County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Bessie (Collins) Carpenter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Hale of Dry Hollow Community; a daughter, Sherry McTosh of Mayfield, KY; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Carolyn Seals of Carlisle, OH; a sister, Geneva Harville of Franklin, OH; 2 brothers, Roy Carpenter and Leonard Carpenter, both of Bean Station, TN; 3 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Avis Lucille (Watkins) Hogan
Funeral services for Mrs. Avis Lucille (Watkins) Hogan, 96, of Livingston, formerly of Cumberland County and Simpson County, KY, were conducted Saturday, November 27, 2010 from the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, with Bro. Gary Cash officiating.

Burial was in St. Johns Cemetery in Clay County.

Mrs. Hogan died Tuesday, November 23 at Overton County Nursing Home. She was a homemaker, a former seamstress for Allen Garment Company, and a member of Stephenson United Methodist Church.

Born October 3, 1914 in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Lasby (Barnes) Watkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Flavel Hogan, whom she married March 28, 1931 in Peytonsburg, KY; 2 sons, Waymon Hogan and James Thomas Hogan; 4 brothers, Earl Watkins, Bennie Watkins, Truman Watkins, and Garland Watkins; 2 sisters, Olene Overstreet and Eliese Vaughn; and father- and mother-in-law, Tom and Vela (Craft) Hogan.

Survivors include 2 grandchildren, Wanda Hogan of Tennessee and Eddie Hogan of Illinois; 2 great-grandchildren, Jake and Alise; 4 step-grandchildren, Gary Bryson, Terry Bryson, Mark Bryson, and Sandy Monroe; and a special friend, Donna Thurman.

Pallbearers were Ralph Wright, Jack Wright, Keith King, Darrell Thurman, Loyd Flowers, and Gary Bryson.

Charlie F. “Buddy” Sidwell
Funeral services for Mr. Charlie F. “Buddy” Sidwell, 76, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2010, from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home, with Bro. Ken Williams officiating.

Burial was in Fellowship Cemetery in Allons.

Mr. Sidwell died Thursday, November 25, at his home.

Born August 20, 1934 in Willow Grove, he was the son of the late Herman and Inis (Harris) Sidwell.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Sidwell of Livingston; 2 sons, and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Cara Sidwell and Marty Sidwell, all of Livingston; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Scott Mullins of Livingston; 2 brothers, Ray Sidwell and Willie Roy Sidwell, both of Livingston; 4 grandchildren, Jared Mullins and his wife, Cindy, Tara Mullins, Josh Payne, and Allison Payne; and a great-grandchild, Allie Mullins.

Pallbearers were Scott Mullins, Jared Mullins, Josh Sidwell, Brandon Martin, Larry Stone, Tommy Crawford, Matt Crawford, Ricky Waddell, and Josh Payne.

Honorary pallbearers were Livingston Limestone Employees.
