James B. Cole

Funeral services for Mr. James B. Cole, 85, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Buford officiating.

Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Overton County.

Mr. Cole died Saturday, September 18 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center

Born March 27, 1925 in Overton County, he was the son of the late Lester and Anna Mae (Nevins) Cole. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Dean Padgett.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy Cole of Michigan; 3 daughters, Diana Pfefferman, Betty Minjoe, and Joyce Rassette, all of Michigan; 3 sisters, Irene Dennis of Livingston, Jonell Robbins of Allons, and Norma Gean Swift of Cookeville; 2 brothers, Billy Cole and Bobby Jack Cole, both of Allons; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers were Billy Cole, Jr., Keith Carr, David Hunter, Jimmy Hunter, Rick Moore, and Larry Fleming.

Bernice (Richardson) Lowe Maynord
Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice (Richardson) Lowe Maynord, 84, of Monroe, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home, with Bro. Marion Winningham and Bro. Cecil Shaw officiating.

Burial was in George R. Stover Cemetery in Monroe.

Mrs. Maynord died Wednesday, September 22, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

Born July 26, 1926 in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Auda (Ledbetter) Richardson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Maynord; 4 brothers, Hollis Richardson, Harlis Richardson, Shirley Richardson, and M.V. Richardson; and 2 sisters, June Richardson and Lucille Bybee.

Survivors include 3 daughters and a son-in-law, Shirley Jean Daniels of Livingston, and Sheena Garrett Hummel and Linda and Keith Vaughn, all of Monroe; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Debbie Maynord of Michigan; 3 brothers, Illis “Buster” Richardson of Nebraska, Clyde Richardson of Monroe, and Leonard Richardson of Livingston; 4 sisters, Opal Wade of Decatur, TN, Nennie Cope of Livingston, Joanne Towe of Nashville, and Paulette Wilson of Hilham; 8 grandchildren, Teresa Sells and her husband, Butch, Rick Stover and his wife, McKensie, Travis Stover and his wife, Jennifer, Ronnie Vaughn and his wife, Stacy, Jerry Vaughn and his wife, Rebecca, Jamie Maynord, Deidra Garrett, and Jason Hammock and his wife, Jackie; and 14 great-grandchildren also survive.
Pallbearers were Marvin Richardson, Chris Hargis, Jordan Hargis, Jimmy Little, W.C. Vaughn, and Odus Mayberry.

Barbara Jean (Looper) Wilson
Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Jean (Looper) Wilson, 59, of Monterey, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene McCowan officiating.

Burial will be in Looper Cemetery in Pleasant Shade Community in Overton County.

Mrs. Wilson died Sunday, September 26, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. She was a homemaker and member of Union Grove Freewill Baptist Church.

Born April 5, 1951 in Overton County, she was the daughter of Gladys (White) Looper of Monterey, and the late C. Oral Looper. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ferrel Looper.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Richard C. Wilson of Monterey; a daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Josh Nave of Livingston; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard D. and Annette Wilson of Monterey; 3 sisters, Brenda Ray and Lisa Norris, both of Monterey, and Louise Henson of Livingston; a brother, Freddie Looper of Monterey; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
