Madge L. (Benson) Poston Bascom
Funeral services for Mrs. Madge L. (Benson) Poston Bascom, 95, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010 from Okolona United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jim Rogers, Rev. Monica Mowdy, and Rev. Michael Ledbetter officiating.

Burial was in Okolona Cemetery.

Mrs. Bascom died Friday, July 23, at Overton County Nursing Home. She had been a clerk in a garment factory.

Born November 9, 1914 in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Alma (Carr) Bensons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands John H. Poston and Arthur Bascom; 2 brothers, Rosco Benson and Cordell Benson; and a sister, Vonda Bilbrey.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Teresa Poston of Garland, TX; a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Timothy Rapp of Livingston; a sister, Sarah Johnnie Webb of Livingston; 7 grandchildren, Timothy, Patty, Nicholas, John, Dana, Jeff, and Crystal; 5 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Teddy Roger Bilbrey
Funeral services for Mr. Teddy Roger Bilbrey, 51, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2010 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Roberts officiating.

Burial was in Cash Cemetery in Livingston.

Mr. Bilbrey died Sunday, July 18, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born August 23, 1958 in Overton County, he was the son of the late James Overton and Carrie Lee (Dillon) Bilbrey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Harold Bilbrey, Carl Bilbrey, Steve Bilbrey, and Tommy Bilbrey.

Survivors include 3 sisters, Mary Stover and Betty Davis, both of Livingston, and Margaret Brown of Cookeville; a brother, Glen Bilbrey; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers were Ron Wheeler, Tony Stover, Jerry Stover, Junior Stover, James Beachboard, and Herman Moody.

Harold Cooper
Funeral services for Mr. Harold Cooper, 86, of Wilder, TN, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home, with Bro. Derrick Wilson and Rev. Arnold Murphy officiating.

Burial was in George M. Phillips Cemetery in Hanging Limb Community, with full military honors provided by Veterans Honor Guard.

Mr. Cooper died Thursday, July 22, at his home. He had worked as a self-employed coal miner.

Born July 27, 1923 in Overton County, he was the son of the late Arthur and Lee Velva (Winningham) Cooper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Pauline Cooper; and 2 sons, Bernard Ray Cooper and Kennedy Cooper.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Rita McCay of Chattanooga, TN and Margaret Clark of Wilder, TN; 3 sisters, Zona Abston of Cravenstown, Charlene Hayes, and Jane Hahn, all of Cravenstown, TN; a brother, Doug Threet of Cravenstown; 9 grandchildren, Jessie Cooper, Kenny Cooper, Kennedy Cooper, Tyler Albertson, Madison Clark, Konner Clark, Nick McCay, Jordan McCay, and Austin McCay; 3 great-grandchildren; and other extended family members, especially, Patricia Murphy and Dallas Cravens and family.
