Three escape serious injury in Thursday collision

Three people escaped serious injury in a 2-vehicle collision around noon Thursday, Oct. 7. According to reports, Lorene Geesling, of Livingston, attempted to pull out from the stop on Windle Community Road and turn left onto Hilham Highway when the red Saturn she was driving crossed into the path of a black 2002 Ford Escape. The SUV collided with the front driver’s side of the Saturn and overturned, coming to rest in the ditch near a culvert. The Escape’s driver, Robert Morgan, and passenger, Jack Burks, both of Hilham, were both transported to Livingston Regional Hospital by Overton County Ambulance Service, as was Geesling. Further investigation found that Geesling was operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license and expired insurance, and further charges are pending, according to Livingston Police Department.
