ABrief Review of 1956 in Overton and Pickett Counties

Betty Jo Smotherman and Beth and David Patton spent the weekend with Miss Smotherman’s parents in Murfreesboro.

Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Needham spent part of last week with their daughter, Mrs. L.B. West and Mr. West in Algood.

Mr. and Mrs. Guy Copeland and daughter, Mary Ruth, and Jane Ann Copeland are spending the week in Florida.
 
Mrs. Jonnny Dickerson and daughter have returned to Detroit after visiting relatives in Livingston.
 
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Lee Bilbrey and family of Florida visited his father, Mr. Sammy Bilbrey, over the weekend.

Rodney Webb is on a tour of the west with his uncle, E.B. Baldwin, of Nashville. They plan to tour Washington state, Montana and Oregon.
 
Mr. and Mrs. A.Q. Verble and children are in Georgia on vacation.
 
Ruby Edena of Greenville, N.C. is visiting relatives in Livingston.
 
Mrs. Sid Almonrode is in the hospital where she underwent surgery. She is doing nicely.
 
Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Bilbrey have bought a home in west Livingston and have moved there from Akron, Ohio.
 
Mr. and Mrs. Billy Benson of Shreveport, La. spent Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. Benson and Barbara Sue.
 
Lynn and Roxanne Garrison are visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T.L. Lynn in Cookeville.
 
Mrs. A.L. Dean spent last week in Knoxville with her sister, Mrs. Tom Windham.
 
Lamoine and Elaine Apple are visiting their grandparents in Smith County.
