Zenith Cole visited her aunt, Mrs. Herman Holman, Friday night.

Ila and Mary Lee Maxwell visited Benton Franklin last week.

Mrs. Emma Danner and sister, Mrs. Hattie Webster, were in Hilham last Thursday.

Several in Holly Springs are ill with measles.

Cordell Stockton, of Paran, will teach at Vine Ridge

Lissie and Anna Greer attended the meeting at Allons Sunday.

Pauline Fleming spent the week-end with her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Winfred Fleming.

The Holly Springs school got well underway Monday, with a nice enrollment.


New members of county school board elected

The new members of the Overton County School Board were included in the election held last Thursday, and they are as follows:

Zone One - W.R. Looper;

Zone Two - M.A. Hardy;

Zone Three - W.D. Clark;

Zone Four - Clure Brown;

Zone Five - Walter Crabtree.

The baby of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Davis is better.

Marion Nolen, of Sulphur, visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ike Nolen, Sunday morning.

Benton Danner was in town Monday. 

Mr. and Mrs. Vadus Ferrell have moved to their new home in Timothy.
