Home Demonstration Club Meets
The Women’s Home Demonstration club met Thursday morning at 10:00 o’clock at the home of Mrs. Gertrude Martin.

Miss Lorelle Paschall, home demonstration agent, gave a demonstration on making American cheese. Miss Paschall also taught club members to make braid from corn shucks. The braid is to be used in making hats, belts and purses.

The next meeting will be held July 14th at the schoolhouse.

Members present were: Mrs. Gertrude Martin, Mrs. Dillard Martin, Mrs. Less Vann, Mrs. Edd Vann, Mrs. Turney Clark, Mrs. Farley Hicks, Mrs. Joe Sells, Mrs. Millard Stover, Mrs. Clyde Stover and Miss Hilda Clark.
New members present were Mrs. Hulbert Parrott, Mrs. B. M. Clark and Miss Maltie Martin. Mrs. Clarice Smith and Miss Mabel Mullins were visitors.

Dr. and Mrs. Wisner of Monroe have gone to Oklahoma to visit their daughter there.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Everett Boswell and son, Earl and daughters, Mary Nell and Clarice of Ada, Okla., are here visiting friends and relatives. Mr. Boswell was born and reared in Overton county near Livingston. He was a son of the late Col. Boswell, who was for many years trustee and sheriff of Overton County.

Mayor and Mrs.B. H. Hunt and William E. Smith who spent a few weeks in Texas visiting friends and relatives has returned.

Mr. and Mrs. Homer Smith are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Smith at Wirmingham.

Mrs. Ernest Barger returned to her home at Jamestown, Ky., Friday after spending a week with her sister, Mrs. Eula Little.

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Mittwitty and son and Miss Lois Maddox of Nashville spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Maddox at Henard.

Mrs. Albert Sewell of Boom visited Mrs. John Little Saturday.

Turley Oakley of U. T. is spending his vacation with his parents Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Oakley,

A. H. Roberts of Nashville was here Monday on legal business.

Mrs. Truman Jordon and children of Detroit are the guests of her parents Mr. and Mrs. S. B. Howard.

Mrs. Jimmie Matthews and children of Florida, are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tim Pugh.

Jones Hill is ill at the home of his father, Mr. and Mrs. Page Hill.

Mr. and Mrs. Will Warden and daughter spent the week-end in Kentucky visiting relatives.

Mrs. Callie Fivash is visiting her sisters in Anderson, Ind.

Estelle Norris of Jamestown and Claude Norris of Alpine have returned from Detroit where they visited relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hood have returned to their home in Indiana after visiting their parents recently.

Billy and Henry Taylor were in Nashville Saturday.

Mrs. W. C. Westenberger is spending the week with her mother at Clarksville.

Harlan Beasley of Oak Grove is reported ill.

Mrs. Britton Morgan and daughter, Sue have returned home from Lafayette where they visited her mother.

Mrs. Joe Dalton is visiting relatives at Algood.

Paul Capps of Nashville was in Livingston Monday.

Rev. H. C. Geiger was in Chattanooga last week.

Earl Thedford was in Anderson, Ind. last week-end.

Miss Blanche Hinds has returned to her work in Texas.

Mrs. J. A. Oakley is teaching a Bible school at Muddy Pond this week.
