Emma Claire Poston

Jon and Jamie Poston, of Cookeville, proudly announce the birth of their daughter, Emma Claire, who arrived April 15, 2008 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
S
he weighed 8 lbs. 7oz. and measured 19.5 inches in length.

Her grandparents are James and Carol Melton, of Livingston, and Don and Vicky Poston, of Rickman.


Madison Grace Smith

Josh Smith and Ashley Thrasher, of Allons, proudly announce the birth of their daughter, Madison Grace Smith, who arrived Monday, March 10 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 20.75 inches in length.

She is the granddaughter of Chris and Kim Thrasher of Livingston, Kim Smith of Willow Grove, Tommy Smith of Allons, and the late Mitzi Sebers.

She is the great-granddaughter of Randall and Gwen Thrasher, Bill and Rose Gray, and Janice Allred, all of Livingston, and J.T. and Mildred Smith of the Timothy Community. Pd.

Weddings

Miss Blaylock & Mr. Cantrell exchange wedding vows April 5

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Cantrell

Miss Andrea Blaylock of Livingston, given in marriage by her father, Garry Blaylock, became the bride of Mr. Michael Cantrell of Livingston on Saturday, April 5 at Livingston Church of Christ. Kirk Talley officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Garry Blaylock, of Pikeville, and the late Melissa Tabler. She is the granddaughter of Dorthy Roberts.

She will graduate high school in May and is employed at Food Lion.

The groom is the son of David and Glenda Cantrell, of Livingston, and the grandson of Minnie and Virgil Willis, and the late Minnie and Ray Cantrell.
He graduated high school in 2002 and Tennessee Technology Center in 2005. He is a mechanic at Performance Super Cycle.

The church was decorated in royal blue bows and a 15 candle, candelabra.
Songs played included “Lost In This Moment”, “Ordinary No”, Bride’s March”, and “12th Of Never”.

She wore a satin gown accented with rhinestones. The gown also featured a mesh train. In her hair, she wore a tiara and lace veil. She wore pearl and silver jewelry.

Her bouquet consisted of white tulips with blue centers. Serving as ushers were Dylan Blaylock, Nick Smith, and Josh Cantrell.

The groom’s mother wore a blue silk flower dress with a tulip corsage and diamond necklace and diamond earrings.

A reception followed the ceremony in the Windham Building at Livingston Church of Christ.

Heather Geesling kept the guest register. A picture of the bride and groom, and a picture for guests to sign decorated the guest table.

The bride’s table was decorated in blue and white colors with crystal candleholders and blue candles. Completing the table was a white cake decorated with blue flowers and a crystal punch bowl.

On the groom’s table were a cake with his picture on it, and blue and white napkins.

Servers for the reception include Judy Halfacre, Kim Sells, Cindy Pigg, and Barbara Carwile.

The bride’s family were all out of town guests.

The bride’s going away ensemble was blue jeans, a red button-up shirt, tennis shoes, veil and tiara.

After honeymooning in Pigeon Forge, the newlyweds are making their home in Monroe.

Engagements

Miss McCollum & Mr. Means
to be joined in marriage August 23

Miss Allyson McCollum & Mr. Seth Means

Mr. and Mrs. Dave and Teresa McCollum, of Maryville, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim and Monica Means, of Rickman, proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children Allyson Elizabeth McCollum and Seth Winston Means.

The bride-elect is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a major in Psychology. She was an active member of Tri Delta. She currently resides in Memphis and works as a nanny.

The future groom is a 2004 Bio Chemistry/Molecular Biology graduate of the University of Tennessee. He will graduate from UT Memphis Medical School in May and will begin a residency in radiology this summer. He will be doing his radiology residency at the Medical College of South Carolina in Charleston.

The ceremony will take place August 23 at First Baptist Church, in Livingston.
