Rickey Glenn Chilton
Funeral services for Mr. Rickey Glenn Chilton, 53, of Allons, were conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 28, 2008, from Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Dewitt Sampley and Rev. Michael Anderson officiating.

Burial was at Fellowship Cemetery.

Mr. Chilton died Friday, July 25, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was a Foreman for Highways Inc., and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Born September 22, 1954, in Overton County, he was son to the late Marshall and Berta Wright Chilton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Chilton.

Survivors include his wife, Lydia Chilton of Allons; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Casey Chilton of Livingston, and Dustin and wife Misty Chilton of Allons; 3 brothers, Billy Chilton, Bobby Chilton, and Dennie Chilton, all of Allons; 2 sisters, Helen Smith of Livingston, and Diane Ferrell of Texas; 4 grandchildren, Ethan Chilton, Kamron Chilton, Briley Chilton, and Dylan Chilton.

Pallbearers were Jerry Daniels, Jerry Poore, Bryan Melton, Landon Melton, Chad Walker, Don Richardson, Josh Walker, and Virgil Higgenbottom.

Terry Cravens
Funeral services for Mr. Terry Wayne Cravens, 38, of Crawford, were conducted at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2008 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. David Harris officiating.

Burial was at Cub Cemetery.

Mr. Cravens died Tuesday, July 22 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center. He was of the Baptist faith.

Born July 6, 1970, in Putnam County, he was son to Liza Jane Threet Cravens and the late Willie Hess. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Michael Cravens, Jim Cravens, Leroy Cravens, and Danny Cravens; and a sister, Betty Cravens.

In addition to his mother, survivors include 5 brothers, James Cravens of Crossville, Teddy Cravens of Crawford, Pete Threet of Cookeville, Earnie Cravens of West Union, OH, and Glen Cravens of Eaton, OH; and 4 sisters, Wilma Cline of Eaton, OH, Mattie Smith of Ivagorda, NM, Carmel Maynord of Livingston, and Cathy Cravens of Cookeville.

Pallbearers were Harold Roberson, Terry Wilson, Donnie Hite, Russell Cravens, Trig Threet, and Greg Nettus.

Janice Watkins
Funeral services for Mrs. Janice Jolene Watkins, 76, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2008, from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Gore officiating.

Burial was at Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Watkins died Saturday, July 26 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was retired from General Motors, and was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ.

Born July 5, 1932, in Overton County, she was daughter to the late Carlyle
and Mertie Brown Qualls. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Watkins; and her step-mother, Nobel Qualls.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Micki and husband Terry Smith of Livingston; a brother, Charles Qualls of Michigan; 6 sisters, Mary Wilson of Ohio, Lunola Warren of Monterey, Floyd Anna Hattery of Kettering, OH, Billie Willis and Willow Matoon, both of Kamiah, ID, Carlene Blake of Miamisburg, OH; and 2 grandchildren, Michael Smith and Meghan Smith, both of Livingston.

Veachel Young
Funeral services for Mrs. Veachel S. Young, 89, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2008, from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiating.

Burial was at Okolona Cemetery.

Mrs. Young died Tuesday, July 22 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a housewife, and member of Sulphur Community Church.

Born June 15, 1919, in Overton County, she was daughter to the late Lee and Vergie Matthews Poston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James William Young; 2 daughters, Rita Walker and Carolyn Young; and a grandchild, Shanna Gunter.

Survivors include 5 sons and 3 daughters-in-law, Jimmy Lee Young, Roger and wife Ginger Young, and Robert Young, all of Livingston, Charles and wife Linda Young of Hendersonville, and David and wife Donna Young of Crossville; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Loretta and husband Linden Sherrill of Crossville, and Evelyn and husband Charlie Gunter of Livingston; 3 sisters, Marie Qualls of Algood, Lettie Muriel Phillips of Williamsburg, KY, and Betty Stone of Smyrna; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Maurice Copeland, Don Copeland, Donald Brown, Roy Poston, Mance Brown, and Mark Poston.

Honorary pallbearers were Michael Young, Jason Young, Steve Young, and Johnathan Young.
