Clemmie Myers Gregory
Funeral services for Mrs. Clemmie Myers Gregory were conducted at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 from Smith Trinity Chapel in Maryville with Rev. Adrian Jones and Rev. Danny Gregory officiating.

Burial was at Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Gregory died Sunday, June 29, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

Born May 24, 1918, she was daughter to the late Dan and Iva Myers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, George Houston Gregory; 2 brothers, Elmer Myers and Albert Myers; and 2 sisters, Mary Matlock and Nola Cummings.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and wife Carolyn Gregory; 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and husband Bill Clabough, Sandra and husband Bob Arnold, Mona and husband Jim Green, and Carol and husband Larry Coulter; 3 brothers and 2 sisters-in law, Mark Myers, Luke and wife Sue Myers, Bob and wife Sylvia Myers; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Dixie and husband Max Walker, and Velma Jones; a sister-in-law, Louise Myers; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Memorial donations may be made to Piney Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 536 Blockhouse Road, Maryville, TN, 37803.

Delene W. Harris
Funeral services for Mrs. Delene W. Harris, 77, of Anderson, IN were conducted at noon on Thursday, July 3, 2008, from Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Skip Ockomon officiating.

Burial was at Anderson Memorial Park.

Mrs. Harris died Monday, June 30 at Rawlins House in Pendleton, IN. She was an avid bowler, and had bowled on many area leagues. Additionally, she had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #154. She was an employee of Delco Remy for 30 years.

Born July 17, 1930, in Rickman, she was the daughter of the late James and Maude Webb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hassell V. Harris; 5 brothers, Jasper Webb, Edward Webb, Leck Webb, Hack Webb, and James Webb; 4 sisters, Mattie Webb, Ola Mae Webb, Sybil Webb, and Sue Nell Webb.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and wife Kelley Harris of Anderson; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet and husband Gary Allen of Markleville, IN; a sister, Alma Talley; 4 grandchildren, Brian and wife Hannah Harris of Mt. Home, ID, Jonathon Harris of Alabama, Michelle Allen and Michael Allen both of Markleville; 2 step-grandchildren, Casey Ulm and Matthew Ulm; and 4 great-grandchildren, Brayden Harris, Ashley Allen, Mantle Wickersham, and Alyssa Wickersham.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer’s Association.

Gerald Robert Hogue Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. Gerald Robert Hogue Jr., 58, of Livingston, were conducted at noon on Friday, July 4, 2008, from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Shipley officiating.

Mr. Hogue died Tuesday, July 1 at Cookeville Regional Hospital. He was a factory worker, a member of the Maxwell Chapel Church of God, and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.

Burial with military honors was at Good Hope Cemetery. Graveside military service was provided by the Honor Guard from James T. Davis

Memorial Post 5062 of Livingston.

Born on December 7, 1949 in Overton County, he was the son of Gerald R. Hogue and the late Edna (McCulley) Hogue. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a son, Scotty Lee Hogue.

Survivors in addition to his father include his wife, Ila Hogue of Livingston; a son, Jeffrey Dale Hogue of Rickman; 2 daughters, Kytina M. Hogue of Sparta, and Karen Anne Hogue of Missouri; 4 grandchildren, Katana M. Harp, Kiana J. Tinsley, Montana Hogue, Jaylyn Hogue, and Brayden Hogue.

Pallbearers were James Neely, Jeff Hogue, Randy Guy, Andrew Anderson, Jerry Carr, Earl Loftis, and Steve Ayers.

Razell “Toe Joe” Hummel Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. Razell “Toe Joe” Hummel Jr., 41, of Byrdstown, were conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 from the Chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Rexroat and Bro. Eric Dillon officiating.

Burial was at Fellowship Cemetery.

Mr. Hummel died Saturday, June 28 in Brownsville, KY.

Born November 25, 1966 in Muncie, IN, he was the son of Razell Hummel Sr. and Lucy (Humphrey) Hummel. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eston and Madie Humphrey, and Eddie and Martha Hummel; his uncle, Curtis Taylor; and his cousin, Leda Cox.

Survivors in addition to his father include his wiafe, Tina Louise (Lloyd) Hummel of Byrdstown; 2 daughters Tiffany Marie (Hummel) Phillips and husband Juston of Allons, and Alissa Sue Hummel of Byrdstown; 2 brothers, Tommy Hummel and Kevin Hummel, both of Anderson, IN; 2 sisters, Lisa Andrews of Anderson, IN, and Cindy Ezell of Louisville, KY; special aunt, Connie Taylor of Allons; and many other nephews, nieces, other family members, and friends.

Pallbearers were Juston Phillips, Jeremy Hammock, Chris Abbott, Daryle Carter, Alan Taylor, Waylon Hurst, and Phillip Reeder.

Honorary pallbearers were Danny Lee Smith, Steve Martin, Jason Hammock, and Jeff Sells.

Nellie Johnson
Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Johnson, 67, of Overton County, were conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2008, from the Chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiating.

Mrs. Johnson died Wednesday, July 2 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She worked at a garment factory and stayed with the elderly for several years.
Born July 28, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Vestil and Edith (Walker) Dixon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Nina Bowman; 2 step-sons, Ricky Johnson and Michael Johnson; and a brother, Doyce Dixon.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Johnson of Highland Mountain Community; 2 sons, Roger Bilbrey of Rickman and Larry Scott of Cookeville; a daughter, Brenda Bilbrey of Livingston; 2 brothers, Kenneth Dixon of Rickman, and Dommer Dixon of Springfield, TN; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Dennis Tharp, Mike Tharp, Thomas Bowman, Shaun Bilbrey, W.J. Staggs, and Lester Tharp.

Honorary pallbearers were Jeff Dotson, Tommy Bowman, and Donald Looper.

Lila Edith Smith
Funeral services for Mrs. Lila Edith Smith, 95, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Campbell officiating.

Burial was at Clayton Smith Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith died Monday, June 30 at Overton County Nursing Home. She was a housewife, and a member of McDonald’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

Born September 2, 1912, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Flora (Smith) Reagan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Smith; a daughter, Fannie (Smith) Gentry; a brother, Ray Reagan; and 2 sisters, Margaret (Reagan) Smith, and Lerla (Reagan) King.

Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Albert and wife Dimple Smith, of Banner Springs, TN; and Doug and wife Tammy Smith of Winchester, TN; a son-in-law, Carson Gentry of Monterey; 4 grandchildren, Johnny and wife Lisa Smith, Jimmy and wife Nita Smith, Justin Smith, and Tracy Smith; and 4 great-grandchildren, Amandy Smith, Sierra Smith, Alexis Smith, and Tiffany Smith.

Pallbearers were Justin Smith, Alan Smith, Robert Padgett, Randall Penticuff, Mark Sells, and Tommy Crabtree.
