Georgia Willard Brown
Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia Willard Brown, 90, of Hilham, were conducted Tuesday, June 24, 2008 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. David Stockton and Rev. Charles McCaske officiating.

Burial was at Campground Cemetery.

Mrs. Brown died on Monday, June 23, at Livingston Regional Hospital.
She was a garment factory worker and was of the Presbyterian faith.

Born April 7, 1918, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Cleo (Berry) Barlow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Lester Brown; an infant daughter, Betty Joe Brown; 3 brothers, Rudolph Barlow, Hugh Barlow, and Joe Barlow; 2 sisters, Ruby Chaffin and Pauline Koester.

Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny and wife Juanita Brown of Hilham, and James and wife Martha Brown of Hilham; a daughter and son-in-law, Georgia and husband Ron Hensley of Cookeville; a brother, Curtis Barlow of Crossville; a sister, Margaret McCormick of Cookeville; 6 grandchildren, Gary Hensley, Greg Hensley, Richard Brown, Stephanie Woods, Tonya Emerton, and Wendy Ringley; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Richard Brown, Gary Hensley, Jeff Emerton, Jamie Emerton, Jeff Woods, James Lee Ringley, and John Cody Brown.

Cloyce Kelly Fletcher
Funeral services for Mr. Cloyce Kelly Fletcher, 60, of Willow Grove Community, were conducted at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2008, from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Taylor officiating.

Burial was at St. John Cemetery.

Mr. Fletcher died Friday, June 27 at his home. He was a construction worker for an excavating company.

Born June 14, 1948, in Clay County, he was the son of the late Beaty Carson and Cora (Winningham) Fletcher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Katrina Potter; 3 brothers, Willie R. Fletcher, Norman Fletcher, and Clurel Fletcher; and a sister, Nina Linder.
Survivors include his son, Chris Fletcher of Ormond Beach, FL; 2 daughters, Alice Taylor of Flagler Beach, FL, and April Baird of Murfreesboro; 2 sisters, Vonda Melton of Allons, and Beatrice Taylor of Anderson, IN; and 11 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Kent Fletcher, Terry Fletcher, John Melton, Tracy Melton, Kenny Melton, and David Fletcher.

Mildred L. Ledbetter
Funeral services for Mildred L. Ledbetter, 89, of Taylor, MI, were conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2008 from Michigan Memorial Funeral Home in Huron Township, MI.

She was then taken by horse drawn carriage to Michigan Memorial Park for interment.

Mrs. Ledbetter died Wednesday, June 18. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hassell M. Ledbetter; and a sister, Elizabeth Liles.
Survivors include a son, Jimmie Ledbetter; and a daughter, Hassell (Marianne) Ledbetter.

Joshua Whalen
Funeral services for Mr. Joshua Marion Bradley Whalen, 23, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2008 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home.

Burial was at Poplar Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Whalen died Wednesday, June 25 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was a student, and attended Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Born December 28, 1984 in Dothan, AL, he was son to Kurt B. and Donna (Cooper) Whalen. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bernt Claus.

Survivors include his father, Kurt Whalen of North Carolina; his mother and step-father, Donna and husband Art Freed Jr. of Livingston; grandparents, Marion and Ann Cooper of Livingston, Lisa Claus of Germany, and Paul and Susan Whalen of New York.

Pallbearers were Maurice Freed, Spence Freed, Zack Gantt, Rob Cook, Levi Franklin, and Bill Huddleston.
