Hughie G. Boles
Funeral services for Mr. Hughie G. Boles, 68, of the Hilham Community, were conducted at 10 a.m. on June 5, 2008, from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiating.

Burial was at Hilham Cemetery.

Mr. Boles died Tuesday, June 3, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born March 23, 1940, in Clay County, he was the son of the late Edge and Olyne (Moore) Boles.

Survivors include his wife, Jessie Boles of Hilham; a son, Ronald Boles of Hilham; 5 sisters, Wilma Copeland of Livingston, Juanita Hammock of Indiana, Minnie Willis of Livingston, Barbara Smith of Hilham, and Dalphene Stewart of Livingston; and a granddaughter, Brandy Goolsby of Gainesboro.

Pallbearers were Paul Smith, Carl Smith, Frankie Boles, Doug McDonald, Steve Smith, and Jeff Smith.

Marie Clark
Funeral services for Mrs. Lona Marie Clark, 86, of Springboro, OH, and formerly of Algood, were conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2008 from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home.

Burial was at Algood City Cemetery.

Mrs. Clark died Thursday, June 5 at the Hills Spring Nursing Home in Springboro. She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from JC Penny in Cookeville with over 20 years of service.

Born August 31, 1921, in Frazier, KY, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Pernie (Hughes) Maxwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Elmer Clark; a brother, Roger Maxwell; and 2 sisters, Frances Wilcurt and Alline Maxwell.

Survivors include her son, Michael Clark of Springboro; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and husband Scott Northern of Trenton, OH; a brother, David Maxwell of North Vernon, KY; sister, Betty Underwood of New Albany, IN; and a granddaughter, Cindy Clark.

Pallbearers were friends and family members.

Clurie Cordell Garrett
Funeral services for Mr. Clurie Cordell Garrett, 90, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 from the Chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Glen Ledbetter and Bro. Randy Stevens officiating.

Burial was at Clark Cemetery on Heard Ridge.

Mr. Garrett died Monday, June 2 at Masters Health Care in Algood. He liked to sing.

Born April 7, 1918 in Pickett County, he was the son of the late Will Henry and Ella Clark Garrett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Garland Garrett, Howard Garrett, and Monnie Garrett; and two sisters, Dessie Garrett, and Serene Garrett.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Garrett of Livingston; his son, Jeffery Garrett of the Windle Community; a brother, Lonzie Garrett of Phoenix, AZ; 2 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Greg Scott, Robert Nemore, Bud Daniels, Joe Garrett, John Stevens, and Bob Garrett.

Leon Garrett
Funeral services for Mr. Leon Garrett, 68, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2008, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Bro. Marlon Winningham officiating.
Burial was at Overton County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Garrett died Friday, June 6 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga. He was a member of the Neeley’s Cross Roads Church of Christ and a veteran in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany.
Born August 26, 1939, in Clay County, he was the son of the late O.B. and Virtie (Johnson) Garrett.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn (Savage) Garrett of Livingston; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and husband Joey Hill of Livingston; a brother, Charles Garrett of Chattanooga; 2 sisters, Geneva Ogletree of Cookeville, and Irene Allen of Algood; and two grandchildren, Kendra Hill and Kayla (Hill) and husband Brandon Smith, both of Livingston; a special family member Sheryl and husband Tim Carner and children of Michigan; and nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.
Pallbearers were Ovid Winningham, Roy Dillon, George Seber, R.L. Ogletree, Kenny Gilpatrick, and Richard Winton.

Taylor Marie Harris
Funeral services for Ms. Taylor Marie Harris, 10 months, of Rickman, were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2008, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiating.

Burial was at Harris Chapel in Rickman.

Ms. Harris died Wednesday, June 4, at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born July 15, 2007, in Putnam County, she was the daughter of Jason and Tasha Harris of Rickman.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Larry Harris.

In addition to her parents, survivors include 2 brothers, Tyler Harris and Luke Harris, both of Rickman; grandparents, Michael Harris of Baxter, Patricia Harris of Rickman, Terry and Sylvia O’Neal of Rickman, and Vivian O’Neal and fiancee James Daniels of Sparta; a great-grandmother, Shelby Jane O’Neal and 2 godparents, Fred and Rachel Gaw of Rickman.

Pallbearers were Josh Hinson, Josh Dailey, Jamie Bowman, and Kevin
Harris.

Rex Lee Robinson
Funeral services for Mr. Rex Lee Robinson, 45, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 11, in the Algood Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Mike White officiating.

Burial with military honors was at Algood City Cemetery.

Mr. Robinson died Sunday, June 8, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Allons Assembly of God, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He worked as a painter for Norrod Builders.

Born December 24, 1962, in Sedalia, MO, he was the son of Richard Thomas “Tommy” and Sandra “Sandy” Lee (Welton) Robinson, of Sedalia, MO.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.T. and Lucille (Montgomery) Robinson, and Arthur and Mildred (Otten) Welton.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 14 years, Linda Sue Lee Robinson of Livingston; 3 sons and two daughters-in-law, Tim and wife Amy Brown of Cookeville, Greg Brown of Gainesboro, and Chris and wife Marilyn Brown of Livingston; a daughter, Beth Brown of Cookeville; a brother, Charles “Chip” Robinson of Sedalia; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were family members and friends.

Carla Ann Ruble
Funeral services for Mrs. Carla Ann Ruble, 57, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2008 from the Chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. David Beaty officiating.
Mrs. Ruble died Monday, June 2 at Cookeville Regional Hospital. She was a Deputy Clerk for Overton County.
Born September 28, 1950 in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Dean (Eldridge) Warden.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Ruble of Livingston; her son, Lance Ruble of Livingston; her sister Jeanette Ferrell of Livingston; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers were Steve Mosley, Jay Mosley, Brad Mosley, Shannon Eldridge, Shaun Eldridge, and Marvin Allred.

Velma Smith

Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Smith, 92, of Hilham, were conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2008, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Shipley officiating.

Burial was at Maxwell Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith died Monday, June 2 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a housewife, and a member of Maxwell Chapel Church of God.

Born August 7, 1915, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Willie A. and Ollie (Gaw) Coffman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Norman Taylor, and Doyle C. Smith; 9 brothers and sisters; and a granddaughter, Phyllis Hix.

Survivors include two sons, Clyde H. Taylor, and Gerstle Taylor, both of Hilham; two brothers, Donald S. Coffman and James Paul Coffman, both of Hilham, and Jesse Coffman of Westland, MI; 5 grandchildren, Douglas Taylor of Nashville, Barbara Taylor and Sharon Ayers both of Hilham, Rita Nivens of Livingston, and Melissa Carr of Lebanon; 8 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers were Ricky Hix, David Coffman, Kevin Coffman, Ethan Taylor, Ronnie Loftis, and Jerry Loftis. Honorary pallbearers were Steve Ayers, Chris Ayers, and Billy Cummings.

Naomi West
Funeral services for Mrs. Naomi West, 89, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, from First United Methodist Church of Livingston with Rev. Craig Green officiating.

Burial was at Okolona Cemetery.

Mrs. West died Sunday, June 8, at her residence. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Livingston, as well as a member of the Civic and Garden Club, American Legion Auxillary, Merchant Association, and Exchange Club. She was a 1936 graduate of East High School in Nashville, and worked for Union Bank and Trust for 33 years.

Born July 10, 1918, in Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Barbara Davenport. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest West.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert F. (Bob) and wife Reita West of Ashland City, TN; a sister, Bessie Robertson, of Murfreesboro; 2 grandchildren, Bill Bob West of Lebanon, and Jenny West of Ashland City; three great-grandchildren, Bayley West, Kennedy West, and Landry West.

Pallbearers were John D. West, Mike West, Jeff West, Johnny West, Robbie Walker, Shane Qualls, Robin Robertson, and Ronald Robertson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Livingston Civic and Garden Club, Merchants Association, Exchange Club, and First United Methodist Church in Livingston.
