Evelyn Franklin
Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn O. Franklin, 87, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Cobb officiating.
Burial was at Franklin Cemetery.
Mrs. Franklin died Friday, May 30 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a garment factory worker and of the Baptist faith.
Born November 25, 1920, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Troy and Essie (Bilbrey) Murphy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl D. Franklin; a daughter, Betty (Bilbrey) Donaldson; two brothers, Jr. Murphy, and Donald Murphy; and a sister, Anna Dean Garrett.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and wife Angie Franklin of Livingston, and Ronnie Franklin of Livingston; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and husband Billy Flatt of Gainesboro; a brother, Lester Murphy of Crossville; two sisters, Ethel Carr of Columbus, OH, and Beulah Walling of Beaumont, CA; 7 grandchildren,; 20 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chris Flatt, Mike Franklin, Stacy Carlile, Jeff Emerton, Tony Smith, and Tracy Flatt.

Willie F. T. Lee
Funeral services for Willie F. T. Lee, 83, of Livingston, were conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 26, 2008 from Standing Stone Praise and Worship Center with Bro. Jerry Buck officiating.
Burial was at Old Union Cemetery.
Mr. Lee died Friday, May 23 at his home. He was a member of Standing Stone Praise and Worship Center, and a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed as a school bus driver.
Born January 29, 1925, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Canada and Allie (Neely) Lee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Lee; and 2 sisters, Florence Davis and Opal Wheeler.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie Lee of Livingston; 2 sons, Nathan Lee of Hilham, and Foster Lee of Livingston; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and husband Robert Key of Gainesboro, and Sarah and Mark Lowery of Hilham; and 2 sisters, Jessie Arney and Johnnie Lee, both of Donelson, TN.
Pallbearers were Bill Clark, Joe Clark, Duard Clark, Michael Hawkins, Johnny Hawkins, and Mark Lowery.

Mattie Marie Patterson
Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Marie Patterson, 87, formerly of Livingston, were conduced at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2008 from the graveside with Bro. David Dunn officiating.
Burial was at Prosperity Cemetery in Auburntown, TN.
Mrs. Patterson died at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville. She was a member of Livingston Church of Christ.
Born June 11, 1920, in Cannon County, she was the daughter of the late C.S. and Jennie (Smith) Hawkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. “Pat” Patterson; six brothers, Carl Hawkins, Harold Hawkins, James Hawkins, Ray Hawkins, Bob Hawkins, and John Hawkins; and a sister, Hesta (Hawkins) Leonard.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and husband Jack Putnam of Maryville; two sisters, Mabel (Hawkins) Turney and Irene (Hawkins) Dunn, both of Aurburntown; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Francis and Paul Bastien of Glasgow, KY; a special niece, Barbara Kay Earheart of Nashville; and other nephews and nieces.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Livingston Church of Christ or Auburntown Church of Christ.

Warner Phillips
Funeral services for Mr. Warner Phillips, 99, of Clarkrange, were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2008 from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home in Monterey with Rev. Basil Phillips Jr., Rev. Billy Joe Hedgecough, and Rev. Ronnie Swallows officiating.
Burial was at the Phillips Family Cemetery in Clarkrange.
Mr Phillips died Friday, May 30 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the Woody Freewill Baptist Church and a World War II Army Veteran. A graduate of Rickman Highschool, he was a farmer by occupation.
Born June 21, 1908, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Alvin and Lou Effie (Bilbrey) Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mrs. Lou Hattie (Swallows) Phillips of Clarkrange; three sons, Vaden Phillips, Aden Phillips, and Barney Phillips, all of Clarkrange; three daughters, Betty Reagan, Brenda Davis, and Berilla Smith, all of Clarkrange; a sister, Delia Phillips, of Chattanooga; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Lucy Wood
Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Ellen Wood, 84, of Cookeville, were conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2008 from the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Vance Johnson officiating.
Burial was at Cookeville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Wood died Tuesday, May 27 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Algood United Methodist Church, and owned and operated Lou-Ray Beauty Salon since 1964, and had been a beautician for over 54 years. Additionally, she was a member of the Tennessee Hairdressers Association.
Born December 31, 1923, in Monticello, KY, she was the daughter of the late Will and Roxie Bell Garner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Ray Wood; 7 brothers, Donald Garner, Herbert Garner, Chester Garner, Ermon Garner, Roy Garner, Raymond Garner, and Jessie Garner; and sister, Della Crabtree.
Survivors include two sisters, Clara Denny of Kewanee, IL, and Lura Gray of Livingston; two sisters-in-law, Helen Francis of Rickman, and Vera Garner of Monticello, KY; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers were friends and family members.
