Joyce Cravens
Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Cravens, 72, of Cravenstown, will be conducted today, Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at Welcome Missionary Baptist church in the Sandy community with Bro. Billy Jenkins and Rev. Leeman Cravens officiating. Burial will follow in George M. Phillips Memorial Cemetery in Hanging Limb.

Mrs. Cravens died Sunday, Feb. 3 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center. She was a factory worker, a homemaker, and a member of Welcome Missionary Baptist Church.

Born May 30, 1935, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Nola (Henry) Sells.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Van D. Cravens; 2 brothers, Kenneth Sells and Leonard Sells; and an infant sister, Jaunita Cravens.

Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Benny and Carolyn Cravens of Grimsley and Dallas and Lisa Cravens of Cravenstown; a daughter an son-in-law, Betty and Larry Bennett of Monterey; 2 brothers, O.D. Sells and Joe Sells, both of Cravenstown; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.

Lottie Magdalene Ferrell

Funeral services for Mrs. Lottie Magdalene Ferrell, 93, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Kirk Talley officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Ferrell died Tuesday, Jan. 22 at Overton County Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and seamstress, and a member of Livingston Church of Christ.

Born July 12, 1914, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Cora (Jackson) Copeland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bates Lee Verlie Ferrell.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Geraldean (Ferrell) Hester of Rex, GA, Christene Martin of Higgins Lake, MI, and Wilma Epling of Livingston; a brother, Curtis Copeland of Livingston; 3 sisters, Ethel Sells and Vada Ledbetter, both of Livingston, and Betty Free of Anderson, IN; 7 grandchildren, Pamela Myers of Monticello, GA, Sonya Bright of Rex, Tom Martin of Orion, MI, Roger Martin of Rockford, IL, Debbie McCoy of Livingston, Blaine Epling of Newport News, VA, and Daryl Epling of Livingston; 9 great-grandchildren, Jimmy McCoy Jr., Rachael McCoy, and Jordan McCoy, all of Livingston, Matthew Epling of Newport News, Cody Shane Whitt of Stockbridge, GA, Sierra Whitt, Asia Whitt, and Justin Myers, all of Monticello, and Chelsea Reed of Brunswick, GA; a sister-in-law, Mabel Tidrow Sells of Byrdstown; and several nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers were Rod Myers, Jim McCoy, Jimmy McCoy, Jordan McCoy, Daryl Epling, and Tom Martin.

Gene Goins
Funeral services for Mr. Gene Goins, 84, of Livingston, are planned for a later date in Oklahoma.

Mr. Goins died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at his home. He was a commercial construction contractor.

Born December 23, 1923, in Marble City, OK, he was the son of the late Clinton and Clydie (Holloway) Goins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise (Seibolb) Goins; and a son, Stacy Goins.

Survivors include a son, Gordon Goins of Livingston; a daughter, Sandra Robbins of Silverdale, WA; 3 sisters, Mancy Prather of Collinsville, OK, Dorothy Cooper of Shawnee Mission, KS, and Juanitta Webb of Sand Springs, OK; a nephew, Stacy G. Goins of Houston, TX; and 3 nieces, Mindy Algood of Neosho, MO, Tracy Freeman of Carthage, MO, and Lori Mayhem of Joplin, MO.

Nawausa Arminda Hargis
Funeral services for Mrs. Nawausa Arminda Hargis, 94, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bro. John Copeland, Bro. Darreck Copeland, and Bro. Bailey Fred Allred III officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Hargis died Tuesday, Jan. 29 at Overton County Nursing Home.

Born October 26, 1913, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Bailey and Arminda (Smith) Allred. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Hargis; 3 brothers, Jonathan Alton Allred, Jonathan Allred, and James Lowell Allred; and 4 sisters, Pencie Allred, Lee Hargus, Sally Brown, and Patra Copeland.

Survivors include a brother, Dr. Baley Fred Allred of Jamestown; 2 sisters, Jimmie Bullock and Danise Vaughn, both of Livingston; and a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Pallbearers were her nephews: Dr. Michael Allred, Dr. Jonathan Allred,
Joseph Wayne Copeland, Nathan Vaughn, Britt Mullinix, Chris Copeland, and Gregg Buford.

Honorary pallbearers were Louis Hargus, Bobby Buford, Bro. Tim Buford, and Bro. Newsom Harvey.

David Key
Funeral services for Mr. David Key, 30, of Crawford, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Burial was in Honey Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Key died Wednesday, Jan. 30 at his home. He was a factory worker, a carpenter, and an avid deer hunter.

Born Oct. 22, 1977, in Cookeville, he was the son of Merle and Mima (Wilson) Key of Crawford.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Talmadge “Dock” Key.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his paternal grandmother, Lucille Key of Crawford; his maternal grandparents, Clell and Veatrice Wilson of Crawford; 2 brothers, Wayne Key of Crossville and Darrell Key of Monroe; a sister, Denise Julian of Monterey; and 7 nephews and nieces.

John E. Stebbins
Funeral services for Mr. John E. Stebbins, 58, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008 at Wilhite Baptist Church with Rick Burnett officiating. Burial was in Port Orange Cemetery in Port Orange, FL.

Mr. Stebbins died Monday, Jan. 28 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He worked in maintenance at Cookeville Boat Dock.

Born October 21, 1949, in Daytona Beach, FL, he was the son of he late Albert C. Jr and Jennie Louise (Smith) Stebbins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Albert C. Stebbins III and Elmer Carl Stebbins; a sister, Jane Elizabeth Stebbins; and a special friend, Dwayne Draughn.

Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Christina and Adam Gaither of Indianapolis, IN and Carrie and Tim Enck of Daytona Beach; a brother, James Fredrick Stebbins of Livingston; 4 sisters and 3 brothers-in-law, Olive Mary and Larry Bates of Gilmer, TX, Margaret Carol and Doug Eckerd of Live Oak, FL, Juanita Catherine Laramie, and Roberta and Terry Tunstall of Livingston; the mother of his children, Pamela Arnold of Daytona Beach; a grandson, Michael Rodriguez; a granddaughter, Mollie Enck; and special friends, Judy Draughn, and Mr. and Mrs. Reese Nash.

Pallbearers were Michael Rodriguez, Travis Batts, Josh Nichols, James Stebbins, Adam Gaither, and Lance Estep.
