• Mrs. Rotha Sullivan is showing some improvement after an illness of several days.

• Misses Christine Phillips and Vela Langford, Herman Farris, Thomas Thorp, and Raymon Masters returned recently from Anderson, Indiana.

• Earl Huffine has been ill with the measles.

• Charlie Hawkins recently moved to Nashville.

• Mr. and Mrs. Howard Flemming of Florida are visiting relatives here.

• Silas Smith of Jackson County, formerly a resident of Hilham, R.1, died Friday at his home in Tinsley Bottom.

• Jr. Nabors, Baxter singing instructor, closed a five day school at Old Union Sunday.

• Mrs. Ida Bilyeu, who for some time has been ill, is reported no better.

• Born, one day last week, to Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hammons, a boy.

• Mr. John Lane and daughter Nola, were the Monday night guests of Lee Carmack and family.

• Pearl Bilyeu is planning to enter for the spring term at Tennessee Tech.

• The Rev. Tom Ferrell of Alpine will preach at Camp Ground Sunday.

• Everyone is cordially invited to Wednesday night prayer meeting and Sunday School at Aaron’s Chapel.

• Hester Hunter visited relatives in the Hunter Cove Sunday night.

• Maddie Davis visited Gertie Ward on Friday night and attended the play at Palestine.
