Overton All-Stars win 12-Under Tourney

Overton County’s All-Stars won the Cal Ripken 12-Under District Tournament held in Livingston from June 28 through July 1.

As the district champions, Overton County All-Stars will travel to Martin on Saturday, July 7 to play in the state tournament, with the game scheduled for 4 p.m. The opponent is yet to be determined.

District tournament scores are as follows:

Jamestown 10, Pickett Co. 0

Dakota Gunter and Anthony Goney each hit a home run for Jamestown All-Stars.

Overton Co. 7, Cookeville 4

Cory Hamilton and Brock McCoin each hit a home run for Overton County All-Stars. Blake Sharp hit a home run for Cookeville All-Stars.

Roger’s Concrete wins 6-Under Tournament

Roger’s Concrete won the Overton County 6-Under Girls Softball Tournament championship.
