Harlan Beasley
Graveside services for Mr. Harlan Beasley, 86, of Baxter, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2007, at Netherland Cemetery with Bro. Kirk Talley officiating.

Mr. Beasley died Tuesday, May 8 at Masters Health Care Center. He was a factory worker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Born April 23, 1921, in Overton County, he was the son of the late George Stanton and Lou Sells (Smith) Beasley.

T.E. “Gus” Hall
Funeral services for Mr. T.E. “Gus” Hall, 91, of Inverness, FL, were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007, from the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes with Rev. Craig Davies officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Inverness.

Mr. Hall died Thursday, May 3 in Inverness. he was the owner and operator of Hall’s Nursery and of the Baptist faith.

Born July 24, 1915, in Livingston, he was the son of the late Benton Hall and Dixie Ferrel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Vivian (Rooks) Hall; and a daughter, Melinda (Hall) Tardiff.

Survivors include a daughter, Juanita Lynch of Fort Worth, TX; 2 brothers, Doyle Hall and Cleston Hall, both of Tennessee; 4 grandchildren, Jeff Davidson and his wife, Karen, of Jackson, MI, Elizabeth Davey and her husband, Greg, of Atlanta, GA, and Kathy Howard and Jennifer Ost and her husband, John, all of Fort Worth; and 6 great-granchildren.

Ernest Ledbetter
Funeral services for Mr. Ernest Ledbetter, 86, of New Castle, IN, were conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2007, from the chapel of Marcum Community Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Bennett and Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating. Burial was in South Mound Cemetery.

Mr. Ledbetter died Sunday, April 22 at Henry County Hospital.

He retired in 1982 from New Castle Chrysler Corporation after 31 years of service. He loved gardening, carpentry work, and spending time with his family.

Born September 29, 1920, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Sewell and Mae Ledbetter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Lizzie Ledbetter; 3 brothers, Fred Ledbetter, Claude Ledbetter, and Fred Pullins; and 6 sisters, Ann Surcy, Lela Kurkendall, Virgie Carter, Clara Rodriguez, Emma Davis, and Reba Ledbetter.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years Margaret (Lowhorn) Ledbetter; a son and daughter-in-law Ernest Willis Ledbetter and his wife Diane; 2 brothers, Jerry Ledbetter and Bud Ledbetter, both of Livingston; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Faye and Eugene Eldridge of Cookeville and Myrtle and Thomas Hargiss of Monterey; 2 grandchildren, Leary Ledbetter of Cleveland and Lora Ledbetter of Franklin; and several nephews and nieces.

Lucille (Gore) Little
Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille (Gore) Little, 87, of Livingston, were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Gore officiating. Burial was in the Little Family section in Miller Cemetery in Allons.

Mrs. Little died Tuesday, May 8 at Overton County Nursing Home. She worked on the Victory ships in California during World War II, sold women’s clothing in Indiana for many years, and jointly owned the Pleasant Cafe in Russell Springs, KY and Little’s Ready-to-Wear in Cookeville. She enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting, sewing, puzzles, playing Rook and Rummy, and loved seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Born June 15, 1919, in Livingston, she was the daughter of the late Isaac Winnie Gore and Fannie May (Tayse) Gore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, Vance Jack Little; 6 brothers, Ridley Mitchell Gore, Columbus Orley Gore, Albert Onley Gore, Cecil Clifford Gore, Francis Donald Gore, and Jewel Hooper Gore; and 5 sisters, Lee Ann Gore, Alva Bell Buck, Ida Pearl Gore, Flora Edith Goodwin, and Ellen Elizabeth Watkins.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Grover Garrett of Estill Springs; a brother and sister-in-law, Isaac Earl and Frances Gore of Washington, MI; 5 grandchildren, Patricia Garrett of Virginia Beach, VA, Lynn Bridges and her husband, Paul, of Smyrna, Debbie Berry and her husband, Phil, of Woodstock, GA, Grover of San Antonio, TX, and Martha Garrett of Nashville; 6 great-grandchildren, Stephanie Berry, Amanda Berry, Daniel Bridges, Patrick Bridges, Rachel Bridges, and Julia Garrett; and a host of nephews and nieces.

Hazel (Parrott) Spicer
Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel (Parrott) Spicer, 87, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2007, from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home with Bro. Kirk Talley officiating. Burial was in Fellowship Cemetery.

Mrs. Spicer died Monday, May 7 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of Livingston Church of Christ.

Born March 7, 1920, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Hulbert and Dora (Chowning) Parrott.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Diana Mabry of Livingston and Sue Ellen McCormick of Jasper, GA; a sister, Jean Billingsley of Arlington, VA; 4 grandchildren, Kelli McDonald, Jade McDonald, Dana Schoonover, and Rachel Farris; and a great-grandson, Keaton Schoonover.

Pallbearers were Tim Farris, Jade McDonald, Danny McCormick, Bill Billingsley, Dale Mabry, and Riley Johnson.

Serenity Jayde Winningham

Funeral services for Miss Serenity Jayde Winningham, infant, were conducted at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2007, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Aron Dillon officiating. Burial was in Overton County Memorial Gardens.

Serenity died Sunday, April 29 at Livingston Regional Hospital.

Born April 29, 2007, at Livingston Regional Hospital, she was the daughter of Shannon R. Edmonds and Ronald Winningham of Livingston.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Cotton Edmonds, Donald Pardue, Dorma Garrett, and J.L. Winningham; and a grandmother, Orene Winningham.

Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her sister, Hailey Faith Winningham; her grandparents, Glenn and Marilyn Edmonds of Cookeville, and Debbie and Jesse Beechboard and Ricky and Mary Winningham, all of Livingston; and her great-grandmothers, Olene Edmonds, Beaulah Pardue, Alberta Garrett, and Nell Hammock, all of Livingston.

Joslin Marie Crouch
Private graveside services for Miss Joslin Marie Crouch, infant, of Cookeville, were conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at Eckels Cemetery in Rickman.

Joslin died Sunday, May 6 at Cookeville Regional Hospital when the Lord decided to call home this special bundle of joy.

Born May 6, 2007, at Cookeville Regional Hospital, she was the infant daughter of Jesse and Sarah Ann (Gore) Crouch of Cookeville.

Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her grandparents, Robert Gore and Ellen Bilbrey; her great-grandmother, Phylis Gore; 3 uncles, Robert Gore II, Mark Crouch, and Joseph Crouch; 2 aunts, Jennifer Bilbrey and Frankye Crouch; a special uncle, Zach Gantt; and 2 special aunts, Miranda Gantt and Angel Bowman.
