Archives 03-07-2007 Obituaries Ricky Glen Boles Mr. Boles died Monday, Feb. 26 at his home. He was a carpenter, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and of the Baptist faith. Born December 10, 1959, in Overton County, he was the son of Betty (Strong) Boles of Livingston, and the late Sammie George Boles. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Dewayne Boles. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins. Howard Chilton Mr. Chilton died Thursday, March 1 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Born September 16, 1936, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Fount and Bercie (Reeder) Chilton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Edward Chilton, Melvin Chilton, and John Chilton. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Linnie (Ledbetter) Chilton of Crawford; a newphew, Tom Chilton and his wife Linda, of Crawford; and a niece, Donna Cravens and her husband Robert, of Crawford. Arlie Dee Deck Mrs. Deck died Tuesday, Feb. 27 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Born September 14, 1923, in Rickman, she was the daughter of the late Dee and Rose Garrison. Survivors include her husband, Paul Deck of Rickman; 4 sons, David Livingston of Auburndale, FL, D.L. Livingston of Winter Haven, FL, Don Livingston of Haines City, FL, and Darrell Livingston of Winter Haven; a daughter, Doris Carter of Winter Haven; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. James Dickson Mr. Dickson died Tuesday, Feb. 27 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was a maintenance man, a former employee of Overton County Nursing home, and also served in the United States Army. Born May 5, 1916, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Ike and Nellie (Looper) Dixon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 former wives, Julie Anna Dickson and Syble (Webb) Dickson; a son, James Harold "Corky" Dickson; 6 brothers, Oliver Lee Dixon, Lonzo Dixon, Morris Dixon, Vestal Dixon, Reece Dixon, and I.P. Dixon; and a sister, Elsie Deck. Survivors include his wife, Eula Dean (Hammons) Dickson; 4 sons and daughters-in-law, M.J. and Beverly Dickson of Algood, Edward and Martha Dickson of Rickman, Mike and Carolyn Dickson of Indianapolis, IN, and Gary and Teresa Dickson of Normandy; a daughter-in-law, Rosemary Dickson of Rickman; and a brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Beatrice Dixon of Chesterfield, IN. Byrd Dillon Mr. Dillon died Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Bethesda Health Care Center. He was a carpenter, and a member and Deacon Emmeritus of First Baptist Church. Born March 12, 1916, he was the son of the late James P. and Etta (Coleman) Dillon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie (Smith) Dillon. Survivors include 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Judy Dillon of Livingston, Donnie and Angela Dillon of Mount Juliet, and David and Pam Dillon of Cookeville; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Larry McNabb of Cookeville; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Lucille A. Dulworth Mrs. Dulworth died Tuesday, Feb. 27 at Markle Medical Center. She attended Willow Grove High School and retired from Franklin Electric after 27 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and working in her flowers. She liked to play solitaire and spent many hours sewing and spending time with her family. She was a member of New Beginning Church, located near Poneto, IN. Born January 19, 1924, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Smith Vaughn and Morna (Melton Vaughn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E.J. Dulworth; a son, James Dulworth; 2 daughters, Linda Marie Dulworth and Phyllis Baublet; 2 brothers, Cal Edd Vaughn and Gordon Vaughn; 2 infant brothers; and a sister, Christine Meyers. Edwin Howard Dunn Mr. Dunn died Tuesday, Feb. 27 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was an aviation flight instructor and served in the United States Air Force during the 1970s. He lived most of his life in Texas. Born December 1, 1954, in Austin County, TX, he was the son of Robert Howard Dunn of Allons and Della Mae (Whitcomb) Dunn. Lillard Carl Franklin Mr. Franklin died Wedneseday, Feb. 28 at Bethesda Health Care Center. He was a truck driver and a member of Holladay Church of Christ. Born February 8, 1925, he was the son of the late James Franklin and Lora (Gillentine) Franklin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie (Trobaugh) Kinnaird Franklin; 2 step-sons, David Kinnaird and Gary Kinnaird; 3 brothers, Woodrow Franklin, Willie Franklin, and Millard Franklin; and 2 sisters, Jewel Knappenberger and Jesse Q. Evelyn R. Perkins Mrs. Perkins died Thursday, Feb. 22 at St. Francis Hospital. She was an active member of Mount Mariah Primitive Baptist Church and an avid gardener. She will be remembered as a person who loved her family, and will never be far from their hearts or memories. Born March 1, 1911, in Worth Co, GA, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Dean Riner and Eva Mae (Scott) Riner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Jackson Perkins; a son-in-law, Bill Jarrell; and a granddaughter, Beverly Jarrell. Larry "Bub" Walker, Jr. Mr. Walker died Saturday, Feb. 24 at Jacksonville Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born September 13, 1975, in Nashville, he was the son of Larry Walker Sr. of Rickman. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, known to him as Momma, Magalene Walker; and his son's mother, Angie Norrod.
