Miss Laura Belle Tosh, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Tosh, of
Monterey, has been hiccupping since Friday afternoon.

The girl hiccupps on an average of thirty-five times a minute. With her
malady, she suffers headache, and is growing weak from the constant strain.
She is being observed by Dr. T.M. Crain and Dr. O.H. Moyer, and has rest
from the hiccups only when under a ‘opiate’.

On Monday afternoon she hiccupped so hard that the jerking threw her
from her cot.
