• Marson Wilmoth and Arthur Brown have gone to Detroit.
• The Rev. and Mrs. Paul Wiliams and daughter visited in the Pleasant Ridge community Monday.
• Mr. and Mrs. Otho Qualls of Okolona spent the day Sunday with Mrs. J.D. West.
• Woodrow Ferguson of Detroit is visiting his mother, Mrs. Carrie Ferguson and friend here.
• Mr. and Mrs. Alex Cooper and daughters, Misses Christina and Virginia, spent the day Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Callis and family.
• The Missionary Society meeting Saturday afternoon was at the home of Mrs. Luther Bennett near Zion Hill. The meeting in May will be at the home of Mrs. Laura Stafford.
• Mr. and Mrs. Burr Qualls of Okolona, Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Roberson and daughter, Miss Anna Ruth and Miss Lena Pearl Vanmeter, and Horace Lee Roberson and Chatt Freeman of near Algood, visited Mr. and Mrs. Claude Andrews Sunday.
• Luke West’s son from the Phillipine Islands, is here visiting his father and family.
• Miss Melba Wheat of Livingston, visited friends here last week.
• Miss Pearl Kimes of near Alpine has been visiting her sister, Mrs. Walter Oakley.
• The seven churches of the Rickman charge, Bethlehem, Oak Hill, Okolona, Shiloh, Pleasant Ridge, Zion Hill, and Rickman, of which the Rev. Paul Williams is pastor, are sponsoring a “Bishop’s Supper” to be served in the high school building here Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. Anyone wishing a ticket for a plate may secure it from Mrs. Paul Williams for 25¢ each.
• T.G. Reid and family left Tuesday for Los Angeles, Calif., to make their home.
• James Bilyeu entertained the young folks Saturday night with a musical party. The musicians were from Albany, Ky. Everyone seemed to enjoy the occasion.
• Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Brown are the proud parents of a baby boy.
• A large crowd from here attended the singing convention in Livingston Sunday.
