Union Bank takes Babe Ruth championship

With two wins on the past week, Union Bank captured the 2006 Overton County Babe Ruth League championship, with a week still left in the season.

LA Cheerleaders to hold cheer camp

The Livingston Academy Cheerleaders participated in UCA camp June 13-16 at Tennessee Tech University. While there, the team won a superior ribbon in dance and cheers evaluations and brought home a spirit stick and an overall superior trophy. These new skills will be taught at this year's LA Cheer Camp on July 10-14. The cost of the LA Camp is $45 per girl age 5-14. Each girl attending will receive a T-shirt and the chance to perform with the LA Cheerleaders during a basketball game. Concessions will be sold daily. Lady Wildcats Basketball Camp held

The Livingston Academy Lady Wildcats Basketball Camp was held last week at the school. The LA coaching staff and members of the Lady Cats team gave instruction on the fundamentals of basketball. Livingston Regional wins Minor League championship

Livingston Regional Hospital won the championship in Overton County Cal Ripken Minor League for 9-10 year-olds as the season ended on Friday, June 16.

Hall's Sports placed 2nd, Captured Forever Photography placed 3rd, First National Bank was 4th, American Bank & Trust was 5th, and CTI was 6th.

Named to the 9-10 year-old All-Star Team are Peyton Boles, Josh Cannon, Loren Crowder, John Michael Dishman, Austin Hogue, Brian Ledbetter, Sean Martin, Trent Nivens, Tate Nolen, Colby Parrish, Jordan Raines, and Dakota Runion.
