Avah Michelle Carr

Michael and Kelli Carr, of Livingston, proudly announce the birth of their daughter, Avah Michelle, who arrived May 24, 2006, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at 11:56 a.m.

She weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and was 19.75 inches long.

Her grandparents are David and Linda Wilkerson of Celina, Steve and Sheri Greenwood of Hilham, and Keith and Beth Carr of Allons. Her great-grandparents are Earl and Jean Wilkerson and Clarence and Nellie Trobaugh, all of Union Hill, Tom and Judy Greenwood, Billy Garrett, and Zella Carr, all of Livingston, Bill and Alice Cole of Allons, the late Will Carr, and Helen McDonald Smith. She is the great-great-granddaughter of Zylphia Greenwood of Livingston.

Her uncles and aunts are T.J. and Savannah Mabry of Celina, Chad and Julie Raines of Hilham, Kris and Lori Carr of Bremen, GA, Betsy Carr of Allons, and Ethan Carr of Allons.

Also welcoming home the new arrival were her big cousins, Jettie Mabry, Zachary Raines, Keaton Lankford, and Kaston Carr.

Miss Linder and Mr. Gaw unite in marriage September 16

Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Gaw

Miss Katie Linder became the bride of Mr. Kyle Gaw on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Sandals Royal Caribbean in the Parish of St. James. The beachside ceremony took place at 2 p.m.

The bride is the daughter of Missy and Bruce Shook and Darrel and Sheri Linder, all of Livingston.

The groom is the son of Terry and Carol Gaw of Hilham.

Miss Bowling and Mr. Castle to join in matrimony October 6

Mr. Jeremy Paul Castle & Miss Leslie Nicole Bowling

Jerry and Peggy Bowling proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Leslie Nicole, to Jeremy Paul Castle, son of Donna and the late Larry Castle.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Opal Bowling, the late Ed Bowling, and Randall Simons.

A 2002 graduate of Bledsoe County High School, she attended Chattanooga State Technical Community College for two years and Tennessee Technological University for one year. She is employed at P.M.I. in Sparta and plans to finish her college education in the near future.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Buster and Jane Ledbetter and James and Vivian Castle.

He is a 2000 graduate of Livingston Academy and is employed at Jerry's in the meat department.

The wedding will take place at 6 p.m. on her grandmother's birthday, Friday, Oct. 6, at Willow Avenue Church of Christ.

Formal invitations will be sent.

After honeymooning in Gatlinburg, they plan to reside in Cookeville.

 

Miss Buckner and Mr. Matheney to exchange wedding vows Oct. 7

Russell and Sandy Buckner, of Monterey, proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Brandi Lee, to Tyson Daniel Matheney, son of Allen and Donna Matheney, also of Monterey.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Junior and Wanda Hoover of Hanging Limb and Hollis and Dimple Buckner of Monterey. She is the great-granddaugther of Buster and Juanita Reed of Hanging Limb.

A 2005 graduate of Monterey High School, she is attending Vol State Community College and majoring in Human Services.

The future groom is the son of Ora Faye Matheney of Monterey, Mary Swallows of Rickman, the late Marace Matheney, and Thomas Lee Swallows.

He is the great-grandson of Hallie Looper of Cookeville. He is a 2001 graduate of Monterey High School and received his bachelor of science degree in engineering from Tennessee Technological University in 2006.

The wedding will take place at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at Monterey First Baptist Church.

A reception will follow immediately at the church.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend.

 

Miss Claborn & Mr. Bernhard to join in matrimony September 30

Miss Tonya Claborn and Mr. Michael Bernhard proudly announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Tommy and Lucy Claborn of Byrdstown and the granddaughter of Bud and Olene Claborn of Byrdstown, the late Howard and Anna Carroll, and J.B. Burtchett.

She is a 1999 graduate of Pickett County High School and is employed with Nolen Realty.

The future groom is the son of Robyn Smith of Centerville, OH and the late Larry Bernhard. He is the grandson of the late Byron and Janice Rankin and Fred and Clara Bernhard.

A 1995 granduate of Bellbrook High School, he is employed with G&M Electric and Royal Flush Plumbing.

The ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at Smyrna Church in Byrdstown.

Formal invitations will be sent only out of town.

All family and friends are welcome to attend.

 

Miss Russell and Mr. Cooper to unite in matrimony October 14

Dale and Tammy Russell, of Cookeville, proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Candace, to Brandon Cooper, son of Steve and Cindy Cooper

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bill and Shirley Russell of Celina, Bert Hestand Jr. of Moss, and the late Toby Birdwell and Martha Russell.

She is a graduate of Cookeville High School and is attending Tennessee Technological University, majoring in nursing.

The future groom is the grandson of Terry and Faye Copeland and Sammie Qualls, all of Livingston, and the late Harlis Qualls.

A graduate of Livingston Academy, he is employed at Cooper Recycling, where he intends to stay and take over operation.

The wedding will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14 at the home of the groom's parents. Plans are for an outdoor autumn theme.
