Nathan W. and Shavohn J. Turner proudly announce the birth of their son, Braiden Wayne, who arrived August 8, 2006, in Livingston.

His grandparents are Nick and Leila Turner of Livingston and Robert and Evonne Hodge of Monterey. He is the great-grandson of Doak and Mildred Turner of Rickman, Ernest and Ann Hodge of Monterey, Nellie Garrett of Livingston, Alice Webb of Rickman, the late Frank Garrett, and Jasper Webb. He is the great-great-grandson of Ila Hawkins of Algood.

Carver and Wanda Coffee, of Mcloud, OK, proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kelly, to James Herring, son of David and Susan Herring of Mcloud.

The bride--elect is the granddaughter of Ola Hall of Livingston, the late Buel Hall, Herman Coffee, and Haley Phillips.

The future groom is the grandson of Wanda Herring of Mcloud, the late Arnold Herring, and William Dake and Helen Omeara.

The wedding will take place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Whispering Pines in Norman, OK.

After honeymooning in Hawaii, the couple will reside in Mcloud.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Charles and Vonna Cramer of Livingston and the granddaughter of the late Leroy and Merlyn Luedecke and Charles and Mildred Cramer.

A graduate of New System School, she is employed with Dr. Richard Dycus in Cookeville as a dental assistant.

The future groom is the son of Don and Mary J. Dortch of Livingston and the grandson of Carl and Eunice Dortch of Sparta, Ruby Martin of Livingston, and the late Glenn Martin.

He is also a graduate of New System School and is employed with Petrie Heating & Cooling in Cookeville.

The wedding will take place at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Livingston. Formal invitations will be sent.

Robert and Cathy Jolley, of Livingston, proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lori Leigh, to Justin Daniel Long, son of Robert and Remonia Mellema and the late Danny Long.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Doc and Leiron Jolley of Independence and the late Everette and Martha Bea Parsons.

She is a 1997 graduate of Livingston Academy and a 2003 graduate of Vol State Community College, where she earned an associate’s degree in human services. She is employed at Jolley Farms Produce in Livingston.

The future groom is the grandson of John and Carol Arndt of Minnesota, Dean and Ann Mellema of Gainesboro, and the late James and Frances Moore.

A 2001 graduate of Cookeville High School, he is employed by Cookeville City Police Department.

The ceremony will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 at Livingston First Christian Church.

Miss Maynord and Mr. Thomas to wed October 17 at Inlet Beach

Miss Valerie Kay Maynord and Mr. Brandon Lee Thomas proudly announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Dwain and Sue Maynord and the granddaughter of Sadie Maynord of Livingston, the late Dennis Maynord, Lexie Crabtree, and Dave Stover.

She is a 1998 graduate of Livingston Academy and a 2002 graduate from Tennessee Technological University, where she earned a degree in education. She also received an EDS degree from TTU in instructional leadership. For the past five years, she has been employed with Overton County Board of Education as a 5th grade teacher at Allons Elementary School. She is also employed at Livingston Regional Hospital as a registration clerk.

The future groom is the son of Joan Thomas and the grandson of Jimmy Walthall of Livingston and the late Larry Walthall. He is the father of Kaiden Lee Thomas.

He is a 1999 graduate of Livingston Academy. He is employed as a salesman at Cookeville GMC. He is also a full-time student at Volunteer State Community College, where he is majoring in education.

The sunset wedding will take place at Inlet Beach, FL, on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

The wedding will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 at the home of the late Veck and Emozel Smith on Garfield Hinds Road in Monroe.
