Carly Nichole Norrod

Jared and Melissa Norrod, of Monroe, proudly announce the birth of their daughter, Carly Nichole, who arrived July 5, 2006.

She weighed 7 lbs. 11 oz. and measured 18.5 inches in length.

She is the granddaughter of David and Julie Prichard of Rickman, James and Elaine Norrod of Livingston, and Sherry and Jeff Cooper of Monroe.

 

Garrett Johnson

 

Chris and Marie Johnson, of White House, proudly announce the birth of their son, Garrett, who arrived at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville.

He weighed 9 lbs. 1 oz. and measured 21 inches in length.

His grandparents are Larry and Ovalee Johnson of Alpine.

Also welcoming home the new arrival was his big sister, Gabriela.

Miss Looper & Mr. Barnes to exchange vows September 23

 

Miss Lindsay Nichole Looper & Christopher Ross Barnes

Mr. and Mrs. Claude Looper, of Rickman, proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lindsay Nichole, to Christopher Ross Barnes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Barnes of Rickman.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lillie Looper of Rickman, Herman Edmonds of Hardy's Chapel, the late Herman Looper, and Jessie Nell Edmonds.

She is a 2001 graduate of Livingston Academy and a 2005 graduate of Tennessee Technological University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education. She is currently working on a master's degree in instructional leadership and is employed with Tennessee Technology Center at Livingston as an instructor.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Charles Allen and Mary Emma Barnes and M.L. "Doc" and Cecil Hill.

He is a 1994 graduate of Livingston Academy and received a diploma from Tennessee Technology Center at Livingston in industrial maintenance. He is employed with the United States Postal Service in Nashville.

The wedding will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23 at Cumberland Mountain State Park in Crossville.

All friends and relatives are invited.

 

Miss Brown and Mr. Wood to unite in matrimony Sept. 23

Mr. Andrew Hamilton Wood & Miss Erin Melissa Brown

Miss Erin Melissa Brown, daughter of Carla Brown of Rickman and Chris and Janice Brown of Monterey, announces her engagement and forthcoming marriage to Mr. Andrew Hamilton Wood, son of Tom and Sharon Wiegand of Lewisburg and Maury Wood of Cornersville.

The bride-elect graduated from Livingston Academy in 2002 and graduated from Columbia State Community College in 2004, where she earned her associate's of applied science in veterinary technology. She is attending Middle Tennessee State University with plans to apply for veterinary school in 2007. She is practicing as a licensed veterinary technician at Companion Animal Hospital in Lewisburg.

The future groom graduated from Cornersville High School in 2002 and attended Columbia State Community College, where he earned an associate's of science degree in 2004. He plans to graduate from MTSU in December with a bachelor's degree in political science and minors in history and mass communications.

He is employed as an insurance branch manager with Heritage South Credit Union and is also a field representative of Tennessee Republican Party working on a campaign for the state representative of the 65th District.

The wedding will take place at First Baptist Church on Saturday, Sept. 23.

The couple will make their home in Lewisburg.
