Rosco S. Benson
Funeral services for Mr. Rosco S. Benson, 90, of Dayton, OH, were conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006, at Faith Baptist Church in Kettering, OH, with Pastor Gary Favor officiating.

Burial was in Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery.

Mr. Benson died Tuesday, Nov. 21 at Brighton Gardens Assisted Living after several months of illness. He was retired from Dayton Rubber and was a member of Faith Baptist Church for several years.

Born September 3, 1916, he was the son of the late Alma and Sidney Benson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah (Ward) Benson; a brother, Cordell Benson; a sister, Vonda Bilbrey; and a granddaughter, Emily Benson.

Survivors include a son, Rosco S. Benson Jr.; a sister, Madge Bascom of Livingston; a half-sister, Sarah Johnnie Webb of Livingston; 4 grandchildren; a nephew; 6 nieces; and several cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to A Special Wish Foundation, Inc., Dayton Chapter, 436 Valley Street, Dayton, OH, 45404-1843.

Nell S. Copeland
Funeral services for Mrs. Nell S. Copeland, 65, of Spencer, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Watson officiating.

Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.

Mrs. Copeland died Wednesday, Nov. 29 at her residence. She was a homemaker and was affiliated with Christ Bible Baptist Church in Celina.

Born May 20, 1941, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Payton and Katie (Johnson) Ferrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Copeland; a brother, Joe Donald Ferrell; and 2 sisters, Bonnie Sue Hood and Linda Ruth Wallace.

Survivors include 2 sons, Roger Lee Roach and his wife, Deborah, and Michael Eugene Wallace and his fiance, Amy Goolsby, all of Celina; 2 daughters, Linda Dianne Day and her fiance, Kenneth Simmons, of Spencer and Donnita Lynn Dilldine and her husband, Joey Wayne, of Livingston; a sister, Anna Lewis Ledbetter of Cookeville; 6 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were David Roach, Dewayne Roach, Michael Wallace, Junior Conner, Donnie Stafford, and David Collins.

Willis Ernie Dishman
Funeral services for Mr. Willis Ernie Dishman, 72, of Battle Creek, MI, were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, from the chapel of Farley-Estes Funeral Home in Battle Creek.

Burial, with full military honors, was in Fort Custer National Cemetery.

Mr. Dishman died Saturday, Nov. 4. He attended Highland School in Livingston and enlisted in the United States Army in 1951, serving 6 years and seeing action in the Korean Conflict. He then worked for Grand Trunk Western Railroad and retired from Fisher Body in Lansing, MI.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a devoted Christian who never met a stranger. He loved to discuss the Bible with anyone who would listen, and did a lot of volunteer work for his church.

Born January 19, 1934, in Overton County, he was the son of the late Gib Ernie and Winnie Mae (Lawson) Dishman and the step-son of Audie (Bilbrey) Dishman Endsley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Ruby Lee Hoover; 5 brothers, Orbie D. Dishman, Billie Dishman, James Dishman, Carl Dishman, and Earl Dishman; and 2 sisters, Ecil (Dishman) Magrum and Annie B. Dishman.

Survivors include a son, Gary Gensch of Climax, MI; 2 brothers, Leonard Dishman of Pontiac, IL, and Ricky Dishman of Monterey; 4 sisters, Blenda “Mendy” Trevino, Carlene McBride of Rickman, Jeannie Kellogg of Battle Creek, and Patsy Ann Dishman of Algood; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Wilma Yepez, who took care of him the last year of his life.

Memorials may be made to Calhoun Christian School in Battle Creek. Anyone with questions about Willis may call Patsy at (931) 537-3042.

Margaret Ann "Peggy" Reynolds
Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Ann "Peggy" Reynolds, 73, of Cookeville, were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, 2006, at St. Andrews Catholic Church with Father Fred Schmidt officiating.

Burial will be at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery in Kew Gardens, New York.

Mrs. Reynolds died Thursday, Nov. 30 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Over the years, she had been a Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader, a 4-H leader, and a daycare provider. She retired from Cookeville Regional Hospital as a CNA. She was loved by many for her quick humor and ability to always come up with a joke that would make people laugh.

Born June 6, 1936, in Flushing, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Sweeney) Sammon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, John Sammon and William Sammon; and a sister, Barbara Mutesbaugh.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, William Reynolds of Cookeville; 3 sons, William Reynolds Jr., Robert Reynolds, and Bryan Reynolds, all of Cookeville; 3 daughters, Beth Tremper of Ormond Beach, FL, Brenda Cerutti of Rogue River, OR, and Bonny Reynolds of Phoenix, AZ; a brother, Thomas Sammon of Cookeville; a sister, Patricia Wardell of Connecticut; 15 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
