Fannie Mae Adams
Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Mae Adams, 73, of Celina, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Celina with Bro. Donald Bryant officiating.

Burial was in Ashlock Cemetery.

Mrs. Adams died Friday, Sept. 29 at Cumberland River Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of West Lake Church of Christ.

Born February 5, 1933, in Cumberland County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Arvil and Lela (Ashlock) Scott.

Survivors include her husband, William Adams of Celina; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald Richard and Jennifer Adams of Celina; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Bengi Dean and Joe Thomas Strong of Celina and Sandra and Tracy Maxfield of Allons; 2 brothers, Willie Clyde Scott and Georgie Van Scott, both of Moss; 2 sisters, Mable Reecer and Siddie Scott, both of Celina; 4 grandchildren, Sasha Maxfield, Josh Maxfield, Katelynn Strong, and Ann Deckard; and 3 great-grandchildren, Ethan Deckard, Margo Deckard, and Katelynn Hix.

Pallbearers were Elvis Scott, Wendle Scott, Durell Scott, Joe Thomas Strong, and Tracy Maxfield.

Bernard Alfred "Barney" Curby
Memorial services for Mr. Bernard Alfred "Barney" Curby, 79, of Byrdstown, were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at First United Methodist Church with Bro. Dickie Hinton officiating.

Mr. Curby died Tuesday, Sept. 26 at Overton County Nursing Home. He was a construction engineer.

Born December 9, 1926, in Alberta, Canada, he was the son of the late Walter Alfred Ritchie Curby and Carole (Bessette) Curby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Curby.

Survivors include his wife, Norma (Smith) Curby of Byrdstown; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Eric Curby of Cincinnati, OH, and Clinton and Jennifer Curby of Orlando, FL; a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and David McKinnon of Fort Wayne, IN; 2 brothers, Giriard Curby and Ronald Curby, both of British Columbia; a sister, Norma Hunter of British Columbia; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

The family wants to say special thanks to Dr. Truman Smith, and for the loving care provided by Overton County Nursing Home staff.

Frances (Eldridge) Hinds
Funeral services for Mrs. Frances (Eldridge) Hinds, 84, of Lexington, KY, formerly of Overton County, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Loftis officiating.

Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Hinds died Tuesday, Sept. 26 at her home. She was a wife and mother, and attended the Methodist Church.

Born May 25, 1922, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Sid and Roshia (Poston) Eldridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan A. Hinds; a son, Rickie L. Hinds Sr.; and a brother, Walter Eldridge.

Survivors include a son, James Hinds of Lexington; a brother, Shirlie Eldridge of Louisiana; 4 sisters, Coleen Clark of Cookeville, Anna Mae Miller of Oklahoma, Sue Birmingham of Antioch, and Sidney Dulworth of Livingston; 6 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Shirlie Eldridge, Eric Hinds, Scott Kerr, Jamie Dulworth, Britt Keisling, and Nick Hinds.

Lydia Claudine (Auberson) Parsons
Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Claudine (Auberson) Parsons, 78, of Monroe, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006, from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Nolan Cantrell officiating.

Burial was in Grant Norrod Cemetery.

Mrs. Parsons died Tuesday, Sept. 26 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith.

Born May 25, 1928, in Clay County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Etta Lee (Glidewell) Auberson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers; and a grandson, Ben Norrod.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Danny K. and Carol Parsons of Old Hickory; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Jeff Cooper of Monroe and Louise and Dilly Joe Matthews of Livingston; a sister, Clara Swanson of Livingston; 5 grandchildren, Mark Matthews, Michael Joe Matthews, Scott Norrod, Jared Norrod, Amy Danielle (Parsons) Kossa; 11 great-grandchildren, Brandon Matthews, Kelli Matthews, Macey Matthews, Megan Walker, Marcus Walker, Josh Norrod, Samantha Norrod, Collin Norrod, Carley Norrod, Amber Cooper, Azlynn Kossa; and a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Billy Odell Presley
Funeral services for Mr. Billy Odell Presley, 41, of Rickman, were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Eugene McCowan and Bro. Derrick Copeland officiating.

Burial was in Carr Cemetery. Mr. Presley died Thursday, Sept. 28 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a factory worker at Berkline Corporation and attended First Freewill Baptist Church.

Born December 29, 1964, in Overton County, he was the son of Billy Doyle Presley of Livingston and Leron Presley of Rickman. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, A.T. Presley.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Sue Presley of Rickman; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, James and Chrissy Cantrell and B.J. Presley, all of Rickman; 2 brothers, Johnny Presley and Jamie Presley, both of Livingston; 5 sisters, Sharon Watkins, Debbie Gentry, Carol Bilbrey, Tammy Wilborn, and Christy Blackwell, all of Livingston; and 2 grandchildren, Logan Cantrell and Xander Cantrell.

Lizzie Ruth (Boles) Roberts
Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie Ruth (Boles) Roberts, 73, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home with Rev. Dee Ledford and Rev. David Moore officiating.

Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery.

Mrs. Roberts died Monday, Sept. 25 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a homemaker, a member of The Christian Tabernacle in Dayton, OH, and was affiliated with Livingston First Christian Church.

Born April 24, 1933, in Overton County, she was the daughter of Edgebert S. and Olyene (Moore) Boles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Johnnie Boles.

Survivors include her husband, Waynon M. Roberts Jr. of Livingston; a brother, Hughie Boles of Hilham; 5 sisters and 4 brothers-in-law, Dalphene and Owen Stewart, Minnie and Virgil Willis, and Willma (Boles) Copeland, all of Livingston, Barbara and Harrison Smith of the Timothy community, and Juanita and Douglas Hammock of Bluffton, IN; and several nephews, nieces, and other family and friends.

Pallbearers were Tim Emerton, Owen Stewart, Joe Emrick, Jeff Emerton, John Willis, and Carl Peterman.

Reba Lee West
Funeral services for Mrs. Reba Lee West, 77, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2006, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Gore and Bro. Marlon Winningham officiating.

Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. West died Saturday, Sept. 23 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was a factory worker in the garment industry, a member of VFW Auxiliary of James T. Davis Memorial Post 5062 in Livingston, and a member of Holly Springs Church of Christ.

Born February 18, 1929, in Overton County, she was the daughter of the late Bob and Gertrude (Ray) Savage. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Savage.

Survivors include her husband, Johnnie J. West of Livingston; a daughter, Linda Sells of Monroe; a brother, Dillard Savage of Clinton; a sister, Judy Franklin of Hilham; and a granddaughter, Molli Sells of Livingston.

Pallbearers were Scott Franklin, David Franklin, Ronald Savage, Mike Fleniken, Daniel Sells, and Jim Turner.
