Obituaries
Agnes Lucille Hamilton
Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Lucille Hamilton, 80, of Livingston,
will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2006, from
the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Elder Richard Gist and Minister
Harvey Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Mrs. Hamilton died Saturday, Aug. 19 at Cookeville Regional Medical
Center.
She was an LPN for Overton County Home Nursing, a retired cook
for Overton County Schools, and a member of Greater Faith Temple
of the Church of God in Christ in Livingston.
Born January 31, 1926, in Overton County, she was the daughter
of the late Robert Sidney and Caroline (Cullom) Myers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands,
Arthur Joe Hamilton and Gilbert Earl Hamilton; a son, Anthony Joe
Hamilton; and a brother, Jerry D. Myers.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Anthony Joe Hamilton Jr.
of Livingston and Jennifer Estes and her husband, Shannon, of Smithville;
a great-grandson, Anthony Joe Hamilton III of Livingston; a nephew,
Ronald Myers of Cookeville; 2 nieces, Stephanie Myers of Charlotte,
NC, and Janice Myers of Phoenix, AZ; and a host of cousins and friends.
Pallbearers were Troy Savage, Curtis Hayes, Richard Savage, Eugene
Allen, Deon Pincheon, and Michael Hayes.
Her family and friends served as honorary pallbearers.

Effer Lee Poston
Funeral services for Mrs. Effer Lee Poston, 78, of Livingston, were
conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, 2006, from the chapel of Speck
Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Moore officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem
Cemetery.
Mrs Poston died Friday, Aug. 18 at Overton County Nursing Home.
She was a homemaker, a member and past Worthy Matron of Livingston
Order of the Eastern Star, a member of Overton County Home Demonstration
Club, and a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
Born October 2, 1927, in Overton County, she was the daughter of
the late William C. and Bitha (Todd) Tudor. In addition to her parents,
she was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Allred; a brother, Lonnie
Tudor; and a sister, Dora Smith.
Survivors include her husband, W.C. Poston of Livingston; 2 sons,
Horace Poston and Robert Allred, both of Livingston; a daughter,
Gina (Poston) Bumgarner of Livingston; a brother, Roy Tudor of Monterey;
5 sisters, Jessie Speck of Livingston, Ann Clothier and Clara Wormeister,
both of Battle Creek, MI; Christene Marsh of Woodland Hills, CA,
and Aline Metzer; and 5 grandchildren, Whitney Allred, Kylor Allred,
Justin Poston, Tara Bumgarner, and Addison Bumgarner.
Pallbearers were Justin Poston, Elliott Poston, Michael Poston,
Keith Poston, Brent Bumgarner, and Kylor Allred.
