Miss Little & Mr. Crabtree wed in office of Co. Court Clerk
A wedding of wide interest was that of Miss Geneva Little and Oswell Crabtree who were married on Monday, October 5, in the office of the County Court Clerk, in Livingston, by Esquire Artie Hodges, with only a few relatives and friends witnessing the rites.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Huey Little of the Monroe community.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. P.E. Crabtree, residents of the West Fork community of the Eleventh District.

Funeral services held for Mrs. K.L. Bilbrey
Funeral services for Mrs. K.L. Bilbrey of Cookeville who died Thursday were held at the Methodist Church Friday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Dean Stroud, pastor. Burial was in the city cemetery.

She is survived by her husband and three children, Dr. Raphael Bilbrey of Nashville, Lee Bilbrey of Crossville, and Mildred Bilbrey of Cookeville; one sister, Mrs. Hattie West of Rickman; and three brothers, Jim Williams of Monterey, Frank Williams of Livingston, and Shirley Williams of Livingston.

Miss Padgett & Mr. Vaughn hold quiet ceremony
Miss Verna Padgett and Tommie Vaughn were quietly married on Sunday, September 27, at the home of the bride near Hanging Limb, in the Ninth District, with the Rev. J.B. Caruthers of Monterey officiating.

The bride is a high school student and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd M. Padgett.

The groom is a farmer and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson Vaughn of the Columbia Hill community.

Girl Scouts Meet at Livingston Grammar School
The Girl Scouts met Friday, Oct. 2, 1936, at the Livingston Grammar School at 3 o'clock.

Marie Holman, president, presided over the meeting.

New officers were elected for the coming year. They are as follows: Johnnie Marie Averitt, president; Jeanette Julian, vice-president; Sara Johnnie Young, secretary & treasurer and Sara Jane Oakley, reporter.

The following members were present, Daisy Bell McMillin, Georgia Ethel Goolsby, Betty Reves Smith, Reba Averitt, Johnnie Marie Averitt, Janie Stonecipher, Lucille Evans, Jeanette Julian, Betty Qualls, Marie Holman, Sara Johnnie Young, Rebecca Taylor, Juanita Ward, Anna Maynard, and Sara Jane Oakley.

Girls who are interested in the club, please be present at the next meeting, October 8th.

Miss Leonard & Mr. Baxter marry Thursday morning
The marriage of Miss Ruth Leonard and Nathaniel Orville Baxter took place Thursday morning in the study of the officiant, the Rev. E.R. McCord, pastor of the Methodist Church. Attendants were Miss Margaret Beard and Jesse Peiler, Jr., of Centerville.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. E.B. Leonard and a graduate of the Tennessee Polytechnic Institute at Cookeville and Mr. Baxter is the son of E.S. Baxter.
